I'm usually a big fan of Dykes. He just picked the hose job hook and flop by Williams at Vandy as the play of the year in conference. He went on to emphasize that it was absolutely the right call. His integrity takes a hit with me. I think he is clearly being dishonest. I just see no chance that somebody who knows the game couldn't see the clear deception. That situation was totally created by GW and that garbage is ruining the game.
Dykes with stupid pick and comment

Yes that was clearly a flop, ridiculous. I don't care how the landing appeared, GW brought that upon himself.
I have zero respect for Williams after that play.
He didn’t just flop, he made himself airborn to the point he literally could have seriously hurt himself.
What a bi#*h.
Hope P.J. abuses him.

Man, if someone's opinion on a call hurts their integrity with you, I'd hate to hear how bad your feelings get hurt if someone doesn't like the same kind of jelly on their PBJ.
I used to be a big fan of Dykes and enjoyed when he did one of the Cat's games. Now I find him unbearable. Along with becoming a total Duke homer, he says things like this, that have made him lose all credibility.
I was afraid you'd bring that up. It's strawberry, and it's not even close.
The only thing Grant Williams deserves for that play is an academy award.
a flop? You think he is going to risk injury going air born? EVERYBODY in the SEC knows that there is a regal whistle for Kentucky. Kentucky fans talking about officiating is hilarious.
Only 8am and this might take the daily “dumbest thing this board was outraged about” award
Williams is known for being a flopper. Our guys need to not give him many opportunities.
I thought I was wrong once...
Our game is over a week from now but they already called an offensive foul on Travis for running over Williams
You guys know it's coming lol

Dykes is one of, if not the worst announcer in all of sports. He is obviously trying to survive by taking the wrong side on controversial issues which is always a really dumb thing to do. People lose respect quickly for that kind of individual.
Yep, and your tears are even funnier. Please continue.
I’ll let this comment slide since you never have a reason to watch the tournament and probably haven’t seen the screw jobs we’ve been victim to over the years.
If that wasn't a flop then GW is weaker than cat piss.
I don't care about the jelly but if we are talking peanut butter you best go with Jif
Yes, the players deserve the blame for ridiculous flops, but a healthy dose also belongs to their coaches. They are either encouraging it (cough Krzyszewski, cough) or not discouraging it.
Aside from the fact that it was an obvious flop, he's calling a flagrant foul the play of the year?
Funny! Your feelings seem to get hurt here daily as you are always talking down to someone. Oh the irony.
Do you teach fourth or fifth grade?
That will be Barnes entire defensive strategy. Williams has the tools to be a good big, he is just weak and looks like a big tool.
PJ owned him last year before cramping up, he'll do it again.
It was a good call because the Vandy player is really mild manner BB player Clark Kent. One touch and Grant W went flying through the air.
I thought the replay clearly showed Williams holding down the Vandy player. Was the Vandy player not supposed to jump for the rebound? Ridiculous. In fact, I am not convinced Williams didn't stage this, knowing that was their only chance to win the game.
Pat Adams is the ref that made that call. Need I say anything more? What was really terrible about that play is they went to the monitor and still ruled that a flagrant foul. An obvious flop by Williams and without that play Tennessee most likely loses the game since they were down 6 with just over a minute left. And bye bye number one ranking.
I am positive GW staged the entire incident.
I just read that in Bubbles' voice and it totally worked.
Somebody more tech savvy than I needs to do a video of the flop set to Jimmy Dykes #1 hit, "Rockin Little Heartbeat".
I don't understand this sentiment.
PJ played 6 halves against UT last year and only played well in one of them.
PJ's 3 games last year...
13 pts, 3 rebs (cramp game)
4pts 3 rebs
5 pts 5 rebs
Grant
18pts 8 rebs
10 pts and 3 rebs
15 pts and 9 rebs
I fully expect PJ to play better against us this year, but he had 1 good half of 6 against Grant. Grant's worst game is almost equivalent in stats to PJ's best game against Grant. Dont hate... those are just the facts.
We've seen a completely new PJ the past month or so.
This isn't to say he's gonna match Grant, but it wouldn't surprise me if he puts up much better numbers than those three games.
I saw a flop but, to be fair, a number of other talking heads (i know i know, fwiw...) stated that it was the right call by the letter of the law. I remember on a podcast Parrish and Norlander agreed that its a dumb rule but that a good case can be made for it technically being the right call. I don't see it but some seemed to.
Nope. Remember, he’s the hall monitor. You know the type....teacher has to leave the classroom for a bit, and she picks the one she KNOWS will snitch if someone even drops a pencil. Yeah, thats @SpamburgerHamburger ...thats right, I @‘d you.
