Naperville Central 33-16 over Waubonsie
Waubonsie was leading 14-10 at halftime, not sure what happened in the 2nd half. Redhawks improve every week, are so well coached, and are junior dominated. Thought they were a year away.
Neuqua Valley 48-19 over Wheaton South
I believe it was 35-7 at halftime. When was the last time WWS got beat this bad? Might have to go back to the 1970's. Neuqua could go a long way this year. They are really good on both sides of the ball.
Metea Valley 36-7 over Wheaton North
Think it was 22-0 at the half. What a bad night for Wheaton HS football. Thorne, the Soph. QB, is someone you will hear about for the next two years for MV. Funny thing... his dad (Jeff) starred for Wheaton Central in the 1980's. Jeff the head coach at North Central College, son of WWS and NCC coach John Thorne.
Naperville North 28-23 over Lake Park
Huskies hang on for close win after leading 21-3 at halftime. Terrific 4th qr. interception in NN end zone by DB Grant Ericksen saves the day. LP has a hell of a defense. Very confident now that NN will make the playoffs. Another nail-biter. Man, do I miss West Chicago.
