The most obvious coach to save our program. Get this man in Lexington ASAP.

He wouldn't come here. He's winning big at Michigan with big resourced.
Not if UNC lands him first. We will be a year late on the elite hire.
Thanks, Mitch!
Michigan has big bucks. He's not going anywhere.
We had our chance at him and passed
I guess it's possible he'd leave for IU someday, but I doubt it. That's the only place I could see him leaving Michigan for.
It's unlikely a coach is getting poached from a big name program. We have to try to find the next Dusty May. UNC will likely have to do the same.
I'd say literally impossible.
Replacing Cal with him was our only chance.

Yes but we're UK. One of a few that is capable of poaching someone like May
Times have changed. It doesn't work like that anymore. Schools are paying coaches big money and with NIL you can win anywhere, you don't need a blue blood name anymore.
If he wins a championship at Michigan what's the point of coming to UK? So fans can scream you arent 40-0 all day?
You're a fan, coaches aren't fans
Who wins a regional final by 33? Took 2 different teams to final 4 in past few years and one of them was Florida Atlantic. IU should be kicking themselves in the head for not hiring him when they had the chance
No one cares about that anymore.
LMAO oh boy! I don’t understand some of these threads. He’s not coming to UK.
It goes to show you that Mitch didn’t do a proper coaching search.
I honestly am starting to wonder if Mitch could’ve made a worse hire?

If no restrictions on NIL ever occur the Big 10 will dominate football and basketball. He will stay at Michigan unless he has a dream job somewhere.
Please. We couldn't even poach Scott Drew. Scott.Drew.
I agree, UNC will be an interesting test case though
Does Dusty run a left handed offense?
Michigan has some of the richest donors in sports he ain’t leaving that
They don’t have UK money
No doubt. Also, has a guy in his SIXTH season of collegiate basketball! LMFAO INCREDIBLE!
Unc gonna throw the kitchen sink at him and I dont think they can get him.. our chsnce for him was 3 weeks before we hired Pope.
Just count our blessings Indiana didn't land May as Head Coach. Now time to go post in bump this thread when Indiana sucks for not hiring him.
Big whiff by Barney. That guy should have been at the top of his list if he was going to take a chance.
It's not the 90's anymore. With Michigan's resources, national exposure, and NIL, they are now a destination role, not a stepping stone.
Not saying they don’t, but do you personally know, or just taking an educated wild guess?
lol yes they do and more. UK doesn’t have money like you think. Michigan donors are very deep and vast.
Amazing how delusional some people are. The only kind of dream job UKBB is right now is a nightmare. The unrealistic expectations of posters here show why no one in there right mind would take this job now. While this only represents 1% of our fans it's so loud it seems like we're all idiots.
Ann Arbor isn't bad in winter. It's northern Ohio really.
Yeah it's for sure the fans fault Mitch wouldn't even try to get a good coach. Before calling other people idiots you might want to look in the mirror.
