At this point in the year, with or without Jah, I just want the win. Does it matter by how much? Well, in the grand scheme of things if we go on the road to play this VT team and lose or only win by a small margin that could be bad. I would think with or without Jah we win this game going away. But, I am sure VT will play the game of their lives and give us all a scare. I will be at the store closing tonight dealing with crazy shoppers buying milk and eggs because of the impending snow scare. Yay retail management! However, I will be keeping my phone charged and be keeping up with all the goings on in the game. Hopefully, we whip the crap out of them, but who knows? LET"S GO DUKE!!!!!

Always a tough game for me to watch. Tech as been in games this season and they've been out of them. That is what you get in a transition period. Duke should win if they stick with the attack the rim method. I say it every year, but Cassell is not a shooters gym it just isn't. The way the seats retreat from view, the colors, the dim lights, all of that makes shooting very difficult. Attack the rim and Duke wins going away. Settle for threes and it could be a tight one.

Aside from their in-state rivalry game against UVA -- where they mucked out a 50-47 loss (which speaks more to how consistent UVA can be offensively) -- Va Tech really hasn't been very competitive against top 20 type teams. A 31-pt. loss to WVU, a 15 pt. loss to Louisville, a 15 loss to UNC, and a 25 pt. loss to ND. While many of those games were on the road (save ND), there's no way around it --- this is a very bad team. If we play well, this will not be competitive. If we play poorly, then maybe they'll give us a bit of a fight. But, in the end, it would take a colossally bad game by us to lose.

When you play against Duke, the records are out. It's a completely different team along with the crowd. I hope it's an easy one but you never know. I am comforted in knowing this Duke team never quits.
