Hypothetical. Just a question as I know there are other factors to consider but just for fun.

Duke vs UNC

Two options:

1. Duke loses and UNC gets in the tourney

1. Duke wins and UNC is out

Your pick? I don’t if there is a scenario in this world where I would want Duke to win.

Agreed it will be difficult to ever root for Duke but this is at least opening up the possibility

The cheats will be at home and as long as they don't beat UVA they won't have a single Quad 1 win so I'm going with the home team. 1 Quad 1 win over Dook at home shouldn't be enough to get in. I just cant cheer for Dook. If Dook sweeps them and wins on the road they are likely to try to get Dook to the 3 line or better.😂😂😂

I won’t be cheering for Duke to win, but I WILL be rooting for UNC to lose. I prefer not to be the only Blue Blood to fail to make the tourney in recent years.

Duke to win if I keeps UNC. I hate Duke more, but only by a little and I don't think Duke is a threat at all to do any damage in March.

Also, I think missing the tournament could become a hot seat for Hubie. And if he goes after just a few years.. UNC is gonna be in for a troubling stretch, during his time and after. And I think that only helps the other blue bloods.

Lose one of the next 3 then I don’t think it matters what happens against Duke but either way don’t want Duke to ever win. As someone eluded Duke gonna start climbing the seed line here toward the end of the season so anything that keeps them down I’m all for.

Man the ACC is trash. I just looked at their standings. All but 5 teams gave double digit losses from 10-23. 3 of the 5 have 7-8 losses and only Miami and UVA have less than 7 with 4 and 5.

The ACC ranks 7th in the NET. To compare the SEC ranks 3rd. They should only get 4 in maybe 5 counting PITT.

To think horrible Clemson who just had a Quad 7 loss beat NCST, PITT and DOOK 😂.

I wouldn't be shocked if none of the ACC teams made it to the second weekend. Their stud UVA just beat UL by 3 then ND by 2. Juggernaut.

Duke and IU have both missed the tourney recently i believe. UNC wasn’t going to make it in 2020 either.

The ACC could be down for a while too. They lost 3 hall of fame coaches in a few seasons. If Bennett were to leave virginia it would really be bad.

Boeheim is coaching with a foot in the grave.

UNC and Duke could be bubble/fringe top 25 teams for the next few years at least if Davis and Scheyer’s current season are a preview of things to come.

Truly a twilight zone scenario, but I just can't pull for Duke. I'd prefer they lose, and then watch them both get smashed in the first weekend. That's the ideal situation

I’ve said it before. I’ll root for Dook this time just to keep UNCheat out.
Totally agree. From AP #1 preseason to the NIT or CBI

ACC is significantly better than they were last year by all accounts and they were the best league in the NCAAT last year by every metric. Let’s not with the hyperbole

UNC missed in 2010. Duke missed in 2021.

Watching Hubert Davis go from NCAA runner-up one season and preseason number one the next season to the NIT would be priceless.

I will be rooting for Louisville to beat Duke tonight to give them a quad 4 loss and then Carolina lose once before beating Duke. Never thought I'd find myself rooting for any of these 3 teams

They won't repeat that this year.

I’m counting 2020 as a missed tourney for unc. They weren’t going to make it. They were 14-19.

If it were Kentucky i’d be doing the same thing.

I could pull for Duke in that scenario.

But I also would need the big girl, Bacot, to run over Scheyer in a lose ball scrum, knocking him unconscious and sending the rat scurrying onto the floor in tears as he cradles the young coach in his arms, big rat tears running down his cheese filled cheeks.

Then I'm good, this once.

2 evils and I hope both go into a free fall to pay for their just due. No one in the media shines a negative light despite the facts.

The SEC isn't the best conference but much better than the ACC. This year in head to head the SEC leads 9-3 with the ACC only getting wins over the bottom of the SEC, GA, LSU, and Vandy.

Wake dropped to 77th stealing 1 of Dooks Quad 1 wins and leaving them with only 2. None since Dec. 6th 2022.

Yet they are a 5-6 seed.😂 GTFOH.
