I saw a tweet somewhere (too lazy to find it) that said since Kansas is losing more guys than expected, that Texas Tech will be the favorites to win the Big12 next year, provided they return all their key guys.
Should be a good one.

I think Kansas has such a trove of transfers coming in that many feel the losses will be largely negated. Don't they have three guys becoming eligible who were 17+ point a game scorers?

I know Texas Tech is losing Keenan Evans, and he was their most productive guy. I think Zhaire Smith was a potential early-entry candidate. Has he made a decision?

Beat me to it OP. I was just about to post. Have we ever played TEXAS Tech? Man, that non-conference is gonna be brutal. Kentucky, Maui, ACC/Big 10, Texas Tech. Who else are we playing?

Zhaire declared but is not hiring an agent.

They are losing their 3 best players: Graham, Mykhialuk, and Newman. Newman is the big loss, some expected him back, and he obviously destroyed us.
They are only returning Azubuike I believe, other than a few off the bench guys. And are adding the Memphis transfers, but those guys aren't nearly as good as what Duke has coming in.

IF Newman had chose to come back, than yeah they are loaded. But they are getting gutted and only replacing their guys with 2 transfers and a couple lower tier 5 star guys. Plus the whole FBI Adidas thing will be hanging over them, De Sousa was the guy implicated in it, I"m assuming that means he's gone too.

Personally, I hope the FBI takes the game of basketball away from Kansas University.

Is Texas Tech losing anyone this year? If not, this will be another great game!

5 of their top 8 scorers were Seniors, including Keenan Evans. If Zhaire Smith comes back, they should still be fairly solid. Tariq Owens, St.John's grad transfer, committed to TTU earlier this week. And CJ Roberts, Missouri transfer, will be eligible Mid-December.

News just broke that Zhaire Smith is signing an agent, huge loss for Texas Tech. That dude had some amazing dunks this year, he can really fly. Makes our game with them a tad easier now.
