This game has me worried.

I picked this one as a win and still think we have the team to do it. I saw alot I thought we could exploit in NW in the Purdue game. NW's pass defense was less than stellar - combine that with seeing Duke completely get out of the Army game with no dump passes, and highly efficeint play by Jones and I like our game in the air.

Running game for Duke is solid as well. We have Brittain and solid running quarterback play. I think the handoff hiccups in the first game will be fixed.

Our D is solid and I think we prove a more formidable defensive team than Purdue. We will make them earn their yardage.

ESPN right now has a 3 point spread with the edge going to NW. Cannot blame them. I'm scared, but I like our chances. If we roll through NW, we may once again be headed for the top 25 polls (NW is team with second most votes and not in the top 25).

We looked better overall, but vs a much worse team (one that wasn't as good as preseason thinking, IMO) and at home. NW was on the road vs a better team than Army. They didn't look as good, but still.

The most worrisome part to me was Duke's secondary. We didn't look good vs Army. I understand that the strategy was geared toward stopping the run, but our DBs should be able to excel on islands vs Army receivers. That they didn't was concerning.

Our pass defense didn’t look that great either. Hopefully we will have corrected the problems by Saturday.

There still seems to be a tendency to give up big plays, and NW has the talent to make them. We will need to outscore them. 28 -24 Duke.

Overall, no. But I understand why Duke was so keyed on the run, given Army's history. We were hesitant to bull rush the QB, because that is how tricky run calls are executed successfully.

Given our DLs and LBs, I think we can be better wrt blitzing. The fact that our DBs had trouble vs very suspect WRs was concerning. If NW WRs can get relatively open, Duke will be in trouble vs NW. Their QB situation is a little murky, which could help.

The next few weeks are crucial. 1 or 2 wins, and Duke is virtually assured of a bowl game. 0-2, and this year's tougher schedule could get to us. We could play better this year compared to last year, and noticeably so, and still win fewer games. VT and Clemson look are almost certainly losses. They good. Miami didn't look good vs LSU, but that LSU defense is littered with top tier NFL talent. Our DL, which I consider to be a relative strength, is nowhere near as good as LSU's. Their overall D is fantastic, and we can't expect to be as successful vs Miami as LSU was. The rest of our schedule is doable, but by no means a certainty.

will we get the first half nw who was very good or the second half nw who was very bad? i think the second half team.

We need to understand that isn’t Army on the other side....quickly. The difference of playing a power 5 school out the gate.

Able to capitalize on a turnover the second time there. Great play after a nice momentum shift.

It looked like Jones went out with a collarbone issue. The center went out with what looked like an ankle. Not sure about the other 2.
