For the love of god please get out of this zone. Man was working why did we switch and why haven’t we switched back? It is just a passive defense.

Playing Javin and MB3 together as our bigs isn’t working on defense.. I wish Bolden could get just a couple minutes to see if he could give a spark this game.

Team really isn’t improving defensively....that’s our biggest problem and it’s becoming very questionable it will improve..

Duval had a brutal half. He scored some, but he was terrible with the ball.

I thought we had a chance of going up big by halftime....now I just hope we find some way to win.

People complain when we are playing man to man.....people complain when we play zone hahaha

Just face facts our defense is absolutely awful no matter what we play and we just have to outscore teams to win

Yep, amazing to think back to the days when Duke was known for their D. Those days are loooong gone for some reason. They won't even come close to winning it all with that garbage. Freshmen or not, how in hell do you not get it by now?!!!

I disagree. We were playing solid man defense. The buckets we were giving up were not a result of our defense but rather poor shot selection on the other side. And we were still getting stops. Since we switched to zone our energy went down and we look like freshman.

We are like robots when it comes to help defense. We haven’t yet learned to read it, not every situation calls for a help defender. All it does is lead to wide open lay ups

Not gonna Jump on the panic wagon like the above posters..... but I’ll sure as hell say that was a concerning half!!! Allen started the crash with totally rushed shots. Just for the sake of getting a shot in... need more smarts out of our lone veteran! Damn everything was ugly that 20

Welp. We have not turned the corner yet. We are still making the same mistakes. Our defense is holding us back. We lack awareness off ball.

They are preaching DuVAL to be play quick (see the Capel-DuVAL insider vid) which has been pretty good tonight.... but the mistakes will come with it. Gotta get our big 3 going that’s the bottom line

Love Grayson, but his inability to stay in front of his man often times kills our defense. Once our defense starts rotating, it’s basically a wrap for them at this point of their development.
