***DUKE VS NC STATE OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD***

[OldasdirtDevil]

Luke heating up from 3!!!

OFC

[LetsGoDuke301]

I think his ankle is okay!

[K-oach Q]

Hey Dukiejay..do you still think UVA for Amile??

[Dukesince90]

I'm just super impressed with Thornton these last two games.

Yeah, he's gonna be a special player for us. He's just had some growing pains.

[JCColsCane]

I'll take all the ulcers Derryck Thornton can give me, he is doing one hell of a job on Barber, just hope he can sustain the whole game.
Go Duke!!

[dukiejay]

Hey Dukiejay..do you still think UVA for Amile??

I was told that earlier in the week.

[K-oach Q]

I was told that earlier in the week.

It's hard to tell from the outside if they are being cautious or if he had a setback...that's why I ask.

[OldasdirtDevil]

Call it a hunch, but I bet HOF Coach Roy Williams wouldn't agree to a lie-detector test like Pitino.

Roy didn't do too well the last time he took one...just shocking.

OFC

[K-oach Q]

That was an important three there from Jones!

[dukiejay]

Not a strong four minutes to finish the half there, but a huge three from Jones to at least get it pushed back to six.

[LetsGoDuke301]

Wish the end of the half went a little better. But overall, good game.

[JCColsCane]

Now we just need to take a deep breath at halftime, and come out and show our maturity in the 2nd half. Hope DT can stay out of foul trouble now as Barber is going to have to step it up. Hope Matt gets some time on him in the 2nd half.
Oh yeah, Grayson and Luke are fearless going to the hole, we need more of that, and we need Ingram to show up in the 2nd half. Don't let this one get away!
Go Duke!!

[OldasdirtDevil]

Didn't end quite the way we wanted, but a 6 point lead is not too bad.

OFC

[skysdad]

Slacked up a little near end of half. Needed those missed free throws. We're gonna come out the second half and bury them. OFC

[dukiejay]

Yuck. What the hell was that? Horrible start to the half.

[K-oach Q]

Wow! I can't believe that series of episodes just happened!!

We've got a game now..

[OldasdirtDevil]

Geez...wth.

OFC

[WI#1Dukie22]

That's how ya get beat right there

[duhondukie]

Matt Jones has got to start playing better. We are better with Kennard on the floor along with Allen and Thorton

[Laettner15]

Thornton gets lackadaisical with his passes sometimes, he needs to get over that!

[LetsGoDuke301]

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

[K-oach Q]

Matt Jones has got to start playing better. We are better with Kennard on the floor along with Allen and Thorton

Except Thornton is the one that just turned this game around..sometimes he just goes to sleep.

[K-oach Q]

We are in trouble now...sheesh..

[Dukesince90]

Except Thornton is the one that just turned this game around..sometimes he just goes to sleep.

You got that right! Man he can frustrate the hell out of you.

[K-oach Q]

Thornton needs to move on..we are going to need him!

[LetsGoDuke301]

What the hell.

[Crank_it_loud]

If it wasn't for DT and his D on Barber, Duke may not even be in this game.

[dukiejay]

It's amazing how Derryck can play so well and then have a stretch like he just had where he's so bad.

[Dukesince90]

Damn, State is having their own dunk contest.

[dukiejay]

If it wasn't for DT and his D on Barber, Duke may not even be in this game.

I get that....but if not for his horrendous two-minute stretch this might be a 10-point game right now.

[Crank_it_loud]

I'll take a 3point lead vs not being in the game though!

I see your point however. He has serious lapses.

[OldasdirtDevil]

I was hoping we could put them away in the 2nd half, but now we're going to have to work hard to get a W.

OFC

[K-oach Q]

Good lord when Kennard gets Hot!!

[dukiejay]

Hop on Luke's back, gentlemen!

[OldasdirtDevil]

Luke is smokin'!

OFC

[K-oach Q]

I kinda hope Thornton gets back in...needs to learn "ok I screwed up..now let's move on". I'd like to see him bounce back from that stretch..

[Dukesince90]

Someone said Kennard wasn't a good shooter. He can shoot, he's just streaky.
I like the streak he's on right now!

[dukehokie]

Grayson is relentless. Again. Offense, isn't the problem. All of the "Luke can't shoot" and "Marshall gets easy dunks" and "Brandon isn't strong enough to finish" stuff isn't valid. Duke is 9th in efficiency on O. D is the issue. Gotta be more body aggressive.

[dukiejay]

What a swing....Brandon misses a wide open layup and they get a dunk on the other end. It's not over yet.

[K-oach Q]

Don't like that K hasn't made any substitutions..guys getting tired this half.

Something Capel did really well against GT.
