I don’t know much about their roster this year compared to last, but they were D II national champs last year. Transy is D III. They were definitely more impressive in their exhibition game than the cats were.

Just FYI, Ferris State lost 4 out of their 5 starters and 6 out of 7 of their top scorers last year were gone, so let's not think they were the Division II champs anymore. This is a BIG time rebuilding year for them, even by DII standards.... which as we all know, is why Duke scheduled them.

There is not one returning starter on this Duke team. Tre, Cam and Alex did not play (unless you count Alex’s 5 minutes) in Canada. K is trying to get them as much experience playing together as possible. Duke plays arguably the best team in the country it’s first game.

A few other things:

Duke shot 48 free throws. Yes, 2 shy of 50.

Ferris St was SO bad that even Duke's nobodies were lighting them up. Don't care at all about who is D2 and who is D3.. I don't think Ferris St is going to win many games this year.

I think Ferris State will be good; they will get better as time goes on. However, they lost the Division II player of the year, along with three other starters. Also, they played their style, which against superior athletes, is asking to get killed. They are a young but good Division II ball club. Transy didn't try to run with UK, or Kentucky would have won by a bunch more too.

Gonna be fun to see which team smacks which team in the mouth first, and then see how the other team responds. I believe we are gonna be the team smacking. But we shall see.

Seriously. And I do mean dead serious.

Who the EFF is Ferris St.? Seriously? Does Puke ever schedule an actual college basketball team for exhibitions?

Ferris as in Buehler??

Ferris State is the reigning Division II national champion.

Who lost 4 starters.
Figures a Duke fan would present misleading information about an opponent. Hell, this fan probably didn't even know they lost 4/5 of their championship team (and even if he/she did, they'd never reveal that juicy tidbit).

Duke lost 5 starters. Seems even to me.
Absolutely not the same, and if you're a smart basketball person, you'd know this. It takes a lot more for these small Div II schools to build up a team than it does a high-level Division I school. So the impact of losing nearly an entire championship team is much more difficult to overcome for Ferris State than it would be for a Duke, KU, UK, UNC, etc.

I wasn’t being serious. Thanks though.
