Our fans are licking their chops at the thought of November 6th. Don't get it twisted. The only obsession with Duke is smacking them in the mouth and shutting the pundits up.

I’m trying to figure out what that little 2 is by Duke’s name in that score. Was that their seed? I think so. I think they got beat by a 15 seed. Might have been the number of flops they had left before a ref finally issued a warning. I think it was their seed however.
Definitely dooks seeding. Krybabysh!tski has always received an unlimited supply of flops. It's their #1 defense.
I don’t know much about their roster this year compared to last, but they were D II national champs last year. Transy is D III. They were definitely more impressive in their exhibition game than the cats were.
Maybe you don’t know but no one on our board gives a **** about puke. Maybe you just accidentally got on the wrong board. Either way return from where you came and never return.
Interesting, could have sworn a thread about our previous exhibition game was posted here by the home team. I could have sworn Duke’s Canada trip was posted here by the home team as well.
So even when you have the 3 top rated guys and what seems like is going to be a great season... you still obsess over UK and seek our approval and validation on our board.

Obviously you don't know much about basketball in general. You might want to Google the Bemax team we demolished. They are quite a bit better than the D2 you're so impressed with beating. How many future pros were on that D2 team? Asking for a friend!

Actually that’s not accurate. My posts have shown that I’ve been able to discuss the upcoming game in an unbiased manner. I’ve also been able to discuss SOME things about the overall Duke program in an unbiased manner. Sometimes that may or may not mean me saying something positive about the Duke program or upcoming game vs UK
I’m well aware of who they played and I know plenty about basketball. And while I’ve been a fan of UK my entire life and I despise Duke Im capable of acknowledging they aren’t a push over. Half of this thread was people acting like Ferris State was a nobody compared to Transy and that’s absurd. They’re still a D II school so I don’t think they’re likely on the level of the Bahamas competition, but to completely discount Duke is silly. They won’t be a pushover opponent. They’ll be one of the most talented teams the cats will face all year and you’re fooling yourself if you think otherwise. Are you completely incapable of discussing the situation at face value?
Actually, thats not exactly true. That's what you want people to believe so you will be accepted here. However, you make subtle, passive aggressive jabs and post to stir the proverbial pot and constantly argue in defense of Duke.

I met a girl back in 1983 that actually went to Ferris State. I asked her if the team mascot was a Ferris Wheel and she got really offended. Needless to say, it was major strike out that night.

Do I think big time recruits and players who have gone to Duke have gotten extra benefits from people associated with the program? Yes
Do I think that K and Duke have achieved a significant amount of equity which affords Duke some favoritism and protection? Yes
Do I think K is one of the greatest coaches of all time? Yes
Do I think he’s one of the better men as a human being in the game? Yes
Do I think Duke flops too much? Yes
Am I a bandwagon fan? Yes, since 1986 when I saw how good Duke was with Dawkins and Amaker.
Am I from NJ? Yes
Do I like another team in College Football? Yes, the Miami hurricanes
Do I love Duke basketball, from the shade of blue to the cozy confines of Cameron to the museum in the stadium, to the great players and humans like Dawkins, Hill, Bilas, Elton Brand etc etc to the academics associated with the school itself, the gothic campus, the games in nyc and nj? Yes I love all of it and always will even after K retires.
Do I think Duke is better than Kentucky this year? No.
Do I think Duke can beat Kentucky this year? Yes
Would it be a major upset either way? No
Do I think Kentucky fans here follow Duke, care about what Duke is doing as a competing program? Yes
Do I think Kentucky fans on this board get carried away with the level of hate towards K and Duke as if on the level of child abusers or something? Yes
Do I understand that’s not an accurate representation of many UK fans? Yes
I’ve been to Lexington including on UK campus and in Rupp arena, I’ve been to Cameron many times, I know what’s real and isn’t.
I enjoy throwing some jabs here, I enjoy getting some in return, I enjoy talking the game in its raw form with none of the bias from time to time. I even enjoy a little troll here and there.

That’s a fair point but they are all multiple pages now. I don’t think that’s all duke fans participating in them.
I understand why he’s doing it (it wasn’t to rub it into the opposition) but I didn’t like it either, mainly because of fear of injury.
Duke is very good. Loaded. Next real opponent so there is interest in their preseason. Nobody should think this is going to be easy. Especially in light of the way our shooting got up and left.

To be fair, Ferris State lost 4 of their top 5 players and 6 of their top 8. Transy also didn’t play scared and gameplanned. Ferris State runs a similar style to Asbury, although not quite as crazy. Duke is a great team, but why is a Duke fan starting a game thread about them playing a team, wherein hardly anyone knows what state they are from (Michigan). Kentucky would have put up similar numbers. Coach K leaving his starters in does not surprise me. Like most blowouts for Duke, their largest lead was the final score.

There you go! Thank you for contributing to the actual discussion. I didn’t do the research you did but I appreciate your points and I don’t have an explanation for why the thread was even started. I just find it ridiculous that some of our fans act the way they do. It’s like a certain segment can’t be complimentary of other teams and those that are will almost certainly be vilified as a troll. I think we all can agree that we’ll all be happier if UK can beat the crap of them. I also wouldn’t mind seeing them exposed for not being the squeaky clean program the national media promotes.
Should be a pretty straightforward affair. The first half is likely competitive. I think towards the end of the first half you'll see UK start to have more success because fatigue will begin to set in for Duke. It likely tightens back up a but to begin the 2nd half, but I expect fouls will begin to be an issue for Duke at that point, and fatigue will only worsen.
The depth and experience should really begin to pay dividends the last 10 minutes of the game. This is where UK likely builds a 10-12 or lead and coast to the win.
If that's the case, it's not unreasonable to think that, at this moment, Ferris St would lose to Transy, if for nothing else than new and young players. Doesn't matter how good Ferris St was LAST year if they lost that many players. Just like when we played SFA, a team that lost like 4 games the year prior: They weren't the same team when we played them.. and I'm pretty sure Duke fans let us know that..
