I know you didn't say that but why say anything at all. Are you saying if you were the coach Jones would be out and we would stop throwing the ball? maybe Duke's football coach had a very good reason for leaving Jones in and still throwing the ball. Since if was the 1st game maybe Duke's football coast felt Jones and the passing game needed a little more work. It's not like Duke gets to play exhibition games. I understand Jones may get hurt but he could get hurt in practice you know. I respect your opinion though.OFC

And bring back Ted Roof. Sometimes I wonder what some Duke fans understand what a gift we have in Coach Cut and how in the world we still have him. I think I may get more upset when Coach Cut is questioned more so than Coach K. OFC

Just guess I was brought up different...I was brought up that when you are up 40+ in second half you get the back ups some work in game conditions...and not try to pad stats and score as much as you can

We need at least 2 of the next 3. I think all 3 are winnable and we are the better team in at least two of them. I would like to pull off NW and Baylor because we play UNC at their house and that will be tough and it would help us to be on a three game streak heading into that one.
We have to find ways to win the close ones this year. I have a good feeling about Northwestern game. While I will not quite go so far as saying this game will determine the rest of the season, I understand the sentiment. I will say that we need to be at least 3-1 by the end of the first 4 though.

But I have seen MANY very solid coaches play the starters much longer than needed early in the season. The thinking there for Cut was probably that our guys needed more live work than just a couple quarters and so he left them in to keep working on things. As the season goes on, this becomes less of an issue. It was probably not at all trying to pad any stats or run up the score (though scoring would be the goal when you're working on offense). Just guessing.
