Saw they were planning to go out and make visits to recruits can only assume they're trying to wrap up Bolden. It think it will be a good sign for UK if Bolden doesn't commit over the weekend. I would hope Coach Cal plans to be there on Friday. Any word on if there is a planned UK visit to Bolden in the near future? I know our MDAA were trying to recruit him, but Duke had their fair share planning as well there.

This may be the nail in the coffin. Never understood why parents have so much influence on where a kid goes to school. They aren't the ones actually going to be there.

Cal should just do what the clippers do and not leave the visit until he signs the LOI al la the Clippers Deandre Jordan situation lol. But I seriously want this kid in UK blue.

Correct me if I am wrong. But haven't most of the kids whose parents call the shots for their kids, end up being slight busts anyways? Has there ever been a case where a UK recruit's parents wanted them at UK and the recruit wanted to go somewhere else?

Mostly parent controlled kids end up being kinda softies.

Exactly.

I could be wrong and I usually am. But this visit smells like desperation to me.

I sure hope your right! I really think the addition of Bolden would further solidify this class and sure up (or shore up whichever is more grammatically correct, since the grammar police are hard at work on these forums!) our only apparent weakness. Having a true 5 would allow Bam to work at the 4 and not have to worry as much about double teams, ala Randle. Just my opinion, but either way, I wish the kid would just do something! I'm tired of refreshing this site and KSR 20 times a day waiting on the decision of 17 year old! lol.

I don't think Duke is visiting Thursday:

1. No contact period through Thursday, April 7

2. Been told Duke is visiting Sunday, which makes sense...after Hoop Summitt

3. If Cal gets to visit Mon I think we still have a shot. If Bolden doesn't allow any other visits after Duke then it's obviously a done deal for Duke

From my guy in Lexington-

Cal not going to visit Bolden at this point. No one at UK thinks UK is an option for him.

He will commit to Duke after Hoop Summit.

I'm thinking we may be still in good with Bolden, because I think we would have landed Jarrett Allen by now with Skal gone and if Bolden was not coming.

LOL I cant wait to see what everybody has to say when we get him.
I know right. Literally there is poster above this post who said" welp thats a wrap LMAO . WTF are people smoking ? He might go to DUke , He might go to UK . No one knows really. The 2 things we do seem to know reasonably is A. His parents favor Duke and B. At least until recently Bolden favored UK but was worried about playing time . So who knows where is he going but it ain't over and If I was betting I would bet on Cal and UK . Especially with Allen and Jefferson coming back to duke.

Thank you for the information. Any indication as to whether Calipari is still planning on adding another big man for this class?

I done wrote him off. I'm now just hoping we don't lose 10 games next year.

I'm actually suffering from burnout a little bit. I think the combination of not finishing the job last season and this season being kind of mediocre has soured me on college basketball.

I mean most seasons are going to end in disappointment, followed by more disappointment when our best players leave no matter how old they are, year after year.

Plus the sport as a whole just becomes less and less entertaining as officiating continues to decline and have even more of a negative impact on the outcomes of the games.

I watch less of our games every season. I flat out stopped watching the road games this season because it became so profoundly obvious that college officials aren't even trying to call an even game anymore.

Plus we play in a conference that gives zero ****s whether or not they're competitive in basketball and its hurts UK every year.

And the biggest back breaker perhaps, is watching another program fall *** backwards into titles in 2 seasons when we had the better team for 20 out 21 weeks.
