Duke shot 38.5% from 3 vs Gonzaga neutral site
Duke shot 46.2% from 3 vs Kentucky neutral site
Duke shot 61.9% from 3 vs Virginia on the road
Duke shot 45.8% from 3 vs FSU on the road
——————————————————————————
Duke shot 15% from 3 vs Texas Tech neutral site
Duke shot 28% from 3 vs Auburn neutral site

Vs good ranked teams away from Cameron, Duke is stepping up from 3. And even in the two games they didn’t, Duke won.

This Duke team is the best team since 2015, and if they win it all will be considered better than that team.
Nobody gives a ****

Yes, they are easily winning, like some of us said. No, I'm not looking forward to the inevitable walk to the title that dook is going to do. They have the three best players at their positions and a great player in Redish, plus quality reserves.
You’re trying too hard. One minute you’re on ks balls the next you act like you root for uk. No one believes you

Most thought they would walk to the title the last 2 years and thought we would in 2015.

That’s why we play the games in March.

All of this is true. If they lose, however, they go down as an even greater disappointment based on the hype they've received. The top two picks (both potential future all-stars) and another top 5 pick, plus the GOAT K as head coach?

Gotta win it all in that scenario.

I don’t think they handle the pressure and will lose before the final four

This sounds like wishful thinking. Dudes have been in the spotlight all season long. Pounded us in super hyped opening season game. Just got done playing on the road against 3rd ranked team on espn with LeBron James watching.

They can lose. Pressure is not bringing them down.

True. And in '15 UK's weakness was defending the three spot. It showed up when Dekker destroyed us.

What is Duke's weakness now that Jones is back? Their role players are good enough to supplement a title run, and they seem to shoot the ball well in the games against better opponents.

I'm not seeing an overwhelming weakness with these guys. If they lose in March or April, it's going to have more to do with their lack of proper mentality than it does the other team's brilliance.

Depth and physical inside play. The game that Bolden and/or Reddish get in foul trouble in the NCAA tournament is the game they go down. I'll also add foul trouble at PG. They don't have a great backup option at PG, and I could envision Jones getting in foul trouble at some point in NCAA tourney.

lmfao. Win or lose 2015 wins 7/8 out of 10 vs this Duke team. 2015 had 1 bad game. 1 out of 39. 1.

I think UK wins a series against these guys, but I'm not sure who on the '15 team could defend Barrett. We lacked perimeter defense at the 3 once Poythress went down. Totally changed the matchup dynamic against the better teams. If Dekker could light up that group, I think Barrett would possibly have a field day.

WCS vs. Zion would be fascinating.

When almost half your shots are from 3 & you make 62% of them and you shoot 3 times as many free throws as the other team you should win on the road. If Duke does that then no one is beating them. If anyone does that, they’re not losing. However Duke is beatable and won’t do that most nights.

I hope they win the rest of their ACC games and go into the tournament drinking the Kool-Aid. Run into a team like Tennessee in the Elite Eight and find their shots not falling. Find themselves pressing late in the game and losing their confidence as the opponent stays with them.

Tournament lose and go home pressure is unlike any they will experience until that point

They lost to Syracuse at home.
It won’t take a team of TN caliber.

That team gave up 54 pts a game. Teams only shot 27% from 3 and UK blocked a **** ton of shots.. Who defends Towns. UK 2015 is a nightmare matchup for Duke 2019. And that was after AP played only 8 games

They lost without cam reddish playing and with their point gaurd going down 5 minutes into the game. They had a 12 to 0 lead when he went down. It was a perfect storm to habe them faulter at home.

Perfect storms like that don't happen often. But vome tournament time anything is possible.

Come on. This is dumb. They lost their best defender and PG like 5 minutes into the game when they were already up like double figures.

They were at home with the refs on their side
Zags were without one of their best players

If they lose in the tourney, it'll be due to being cold from 3 and/or the FT line.

I’m not entirely convinced the NCAA isnt doing everything they can to just hand Duke a title on K’s way out. They had 9 fouls on them in a road game against the #2 team in the country.

Lots of questions around Zion’s recruitment that are seemingly going unasked and all together ignored by the governing body. Reddish meeting with an agent right before he commits to them. Bagley and Duvall had tons of questions around their recruitments too.

Don’t think they involve the referees but the rest is spot on. They did the same thing with John Wooden . Everyone knew what was going on . NCAA has always had sacred cows.

Final Four or bust. But to say national title or nothing is unrealistic, and historically inaccurate with few exceptions.

It's kind of hard to point to history in this case, though. After all, who was the last team team to feature 3 of the top 6 picks, including a generational talent like Zion and another guy who looks to be a future NBA All-star, all playing under the best coach in the modern era?

I'd take Duke over the field. I think Vegas will too by the time it's all said and done.

The idea that Kentucky beats this Duke team in a series is laughable unless someone throws a solid forearm shiver into one of their core. Remind me again who guards RJ and Zion? I like the Tre-Hagans match up and I like what we could do against Cam assuming his last four games are an aberration but I’m still confused who guards RJ and Zion. Travis on Zion? May need to get WCS back in the house. And Herro on RJ? We’d have to gamble like UVA and pack it in and hope Cam and RJ ant beat us but no one is taking that bet except people on this site.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- When LeBron James and Rajon Rondo walked into John Paul Jones Arena in the first half of No. 2 Duke's 81-71 victory at No. 3 Virginia on Saturday night, thousands of fans squealed as they held up their smartphones to capture the moment.

Duke was impressive last night for sure. However if they shot anywhere close to their 3 point shooting percentage ... Virginia wins without Diakete playing in 2nd half. Duke will lose again before tournament .. likely two more times. Be shocked if UNC doesnt get them once and Syracuse or Louisville on the road

Just don't think UVA matches up well against Duke. I thought last night would be a 10-12pt loss and it was. I've never bought in to Virginia bring a truly great team any of these years.

Not impressed by either team. Duke is on fire from 3 point range. But they still don't look like a juggernaut. Granted I typically work nights and this is my first time watching them this year.
Well in that case, I totally trust your educated opinion

Why? It’s the standard the national media has held Cal to when he has had stacked teams in 10 and 15.

With how the media has hyped up Zion as the most recent goat and this team more than any past teams, it’s only logical that the same standard applies.

The good thing is we don't have to win a series against them............just one game.
