You’re just doubling down on a bad take. The only team in the country not playing close games right now or taking losses is Gonzaga because they’re playing truly pathetic competition.

Auburn nearly lost to a pitiful missouri team(much worse than top 50 mississippi state). Duke struggled with a terrible clemson team at home. much worse than mississippi state. Baylor took an L at home to a bad oklahoma state team.

It happens. Kentucky is playing as well as anyone in the country right now. and barring a couple of really unlucky injuries early in games they’re riding a 12 game winning streak and a #1 ranking to go with it
You've flat out lost your mind.... I'm not doubling down on a "bad take" at all..... it's reality. Mississippi State just lost by 30 on Saturday...4 days after playing a road game against us that went to OT where they easily could have won. And we also just lost to Auburn. While we can agree that Missouri is horrific, where did Oklahoma State or Clemson lose a game by 30 this year? Let's not act like Saturday is more than it was. A great (and well overdue) win over a legit team, but it's not like we've consistently barnstormed the competition this year. Please take off the blue-tinted glasses and call a spade a spade. We still have 4 losses before February 1 as is typical with this Kindergarten Coaching staff. God-willing, we won't take another L for awhile, but no metric in the universe has us #1 right now - with or without injuries.

If you’re really trying to make the argument that injuries don’t make a difference then you’re just not willing to listen to reason.

Everyone has injuries. Name a team right now that doesn't? Anyone could use that hypothetical that "if we didn't have this guy hurt for so and so game, we'd be ranked #1!" That's not reality, that's la la land.

Hasn’t had a game like that since either. Not even close

Just have to point out…

Keels shot 55 percent against UK overall. He has shot as well or better in four other games just this year.

He shot 25 percent from three against UK. He has shot as well or better in 12 other games just this year.

He shot 66 percent from the line vs UK. He did as well or better in six other games this year.

He got one rebound vs UK. This is tied for his worst rebounding outing of the year.

He had three assists vs UK. He did as well or better in ten other games this year.

Really, the only thing he did was shoot a lot more vs UK than usual... he had 18 shots. His next five highest shot totals were 14, 13, 13, 12, and 11, which resulted in him pulling a a season high in points vs UK… but to say he hasn’t had a game like that since, not even close… that’s feels untrue.

i can point to plenty of teams ahead of us or around us that have worse losses than @ lsu and @ auburn that weren’t missing a top 5 national assist guy or their 2nd leading scorers.

another unreasonable take. i’m done now. this isn’t worth my time. because you clearly just want to be angry about uk basketball. we just dominated a top 10 team and contender for a 1 seed in a true road game, have a top 5 ranking and you’re not happy about it.

we have 17 wins and 15 of them are by double digits.
