Haven’t got to see this play. Reckon I’m gonna have to check it our. Love when duke gets beat. I especially love it when they get beat and don’t get their normal favorable whistle. Literally seen them act like spoiled brats when they don’t get their favorable whistle. It’s hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time.

Scroll up about 8 posts or so. Someone posted it. That angle makes it look worse than the angle I saw. But, after reading the rule, I think it was the correct no call.

It looked worse because it actually was a pretty hard knock directly to his throat. Why I was SMH last night at some saying he was faking. Hate Duke with a passion but that dude wasn’t faking but it was still a correct no call. No basketball play, merely out of celebration and flip was just wrong place at wrong time.

He had a delayed reaction after he was hit. Definitely an acting job.

One thing I found interesting was earlier in the game a Tech player was called for a foul but he was elbowed in the face on the play as well. It either busted his lip or knocked his teeth loose causing a bloody mouth. What was odd was the refs didn't even bother going to the monitor to see if anything warranted an intentional foul but just called him for the foul. If that would have been the SEC refs they would have spent 15 minutes at the monitor.

Why is that a no call, punch to the throat,
and a technical foul, Issac Humphries ball slam to the court?
Both the unintentional result of spontaneous celebration.

And still get it wrong.

Refs missed a shot clock violation in our FF game against Wisconsin.

Did you watch the 2017 Elite 8 game against uNC? Talk about an obvious screw job.

How about the calls the rooferee put on us in a 1 point loss to UConn in the FF in 2011?

UK has had more than it's fair share of hose jobs and ours usually happen in the NCAAT, so spare me the crybaby **** in a regular season game for duke where they were going to lose anyway.

You flipped your ****, because you're a closet duke fan.
Standing ovation for this post.

I really thought BBN would have agreed with this but only a hand full. I'm glad duke lost. If I ever kinda hoped duke won a game it's against UNC. I love when duke unc and ul losesI hate those teams.

don't even hate KU, IU, or UCLA half as much as those 3 ACC teams. I hate those 3 the most for some reason.

BUT that was awful. Fair is fair. F1
Incidental contact isn't an F1. You can clearly tell it wasn't on purpose and the kid pulled back as soon as he realized there was a Dukie there.

We've done a good job the last year outing some of the "pro-Cal" trolls.. but I'm glad were starting to weed out some of the "anti-Cal" ones as well. There's quite a few here.

Dude definitely got punched in the throat, and hard. It was a total accident so not surprised they swallowed the whistle. But I bet that hurt like hell.

You haven’t watched closely enough if you think he was acting. You can clearly see his skin around his throat area reacting to the hit. Scheyer said he was throwing up on the sidelines during the timeout which is certainly believable.

Bro an NFL player threw a punch in celebration and drilled him, knocking him down. If they didn't call it in a football game, no way in hell should that be called in a basketball game.

Cause Scheyer would never lie. He only played and coached with a phony, and a pathological liar. There should be film of him throwing up, lots of film. If he did puke 3 times I'll admit I was wrong. My ego can handle that.

He did hot him, I don't get where some of you say he faked it, video don't lie. The debate can be had where it should be an F1 or not. It clearly wasn't intentional. In Oscar's case last game, it clearly was intentional.

Yeah, the holding of the arm was definitely intentional.

He hit him, but the reaction was greatly exaggerated to draw a call. The refs were having none of it. Good no call.

Yeah, I wondered about this too, if he was puking, the cameras would have picked that up. They're always watching.

Don’t know if he was throwing up or not but don’t really care either way. Point remains that he was not acting, he got hit hard in the throat. If one can’t see that from the video replay then they just don’t want to for some strange reason. Purely incidental and no call was correct IMO.

A thread started on UK forum about a no call in a Duke game tells me you aren’t a Uk fan. I’ve told people just yesterday the OP is a troll and the reason he’s clueless is because he doesn’t even watch our games, hence he’s not a UK fan. The sooner he gets banned the better. Just shows me we live rent free, all day!! 😉😉😉

He got decked and that's not a flop.

IDK Dee, I've watched that several times and it sure looks like a flop to me. Maybe it's me, but there appears to be a a split second between when the Tech players' fist went by, and the Flip's reaction time. Flip flopped IMO.

Nevertheless, even if he'd torn out his esophagus, I wouldn't have been too upset over it. After all, he IS dookie.
