How many “fouls” has Duke gotten that really weren’t. That’s completely fair in my mind.
I mean incidental contact shouldn't be called. Flagrant is meant for flagrant fouls. Trying to cause harm intentionally. Not a beanpole getting a fist pump grase his neck accidentally. That would be as bad as the technical on Hump at AM where he was excited and bounced the ball too hard and lost control of it. That's not the intention of the rule and sometimes common sense must prevail.
Great point! Refs have to use common sense. That call on Hump was horrible. A foul on this "touch" would have been horrible as well. I don't want to see a team win or lose on calls like these.
Not sure why you think that should have been a foul call there. It was inadvertent contact with a fist pump after a made basket, that’s it. Yes he made solid contact to his throat but like the announcers indicated it was anything but intentional. Flip just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. No one calling the game thought a call was warranted and officials reviewed and thought the same.
A dookie was touched and no foul was called. End of days are upon us.

Not sure if Duke should let this go. Maybe have the seconds back on the clock and the guy shoots free throws. Play it like on Thursday again, no crowd. If this happens against us I would push for this.

There was one play where a Duke player fell trying to get a charge called but the ref called him for a flop. Scheyer was livid and to be honest I was shocked they called it. Corey Alexander kept saying it can't be a flop when there is contact. Then they showed one angle where it was like the U of L guy flopping on Dakari because he didn't even make any contact and the Dukie flopped.
If Whitehead is out with a ruptured Achilles then that is a major blow to Duke. They better hope Filipowski doesn't get hurt or they will go on a U of L type losing streak because he is the only thing keeping them from being 9-11 right now.
I was thinking about the A&M technical call the other day when I saw a player slam the ball down hard and didn't even get a second look.

Haven’t got to see this play. Reckon I’m gonna have to check it out. Love when duke gets beat. I especially love it when they get beat and don’t get their normal favorable whistle. Literally seen them act like spoiled brats when they don’t get their favorable whistle. It’s hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time.
