Duke love from WVU fan

I grew up in Charleston and have been a WVU fan for decades. But I have also lived in the Raleigh area for more than 30 years. I am afraid you are woefully uniformed about the animus that exists between UNC and Duke.
For many years UNC was the king of the mountain especially in basketball and they let everyone know it. But slowly, inexorably, Coach K has chipped away at the UNC lead. There is rough parity now, but the upward Duke trend continues. A case can be made that Duke has surpassed UNC now though Roy's team almost won it all last year and could well win it all in the coming weeks.
I can assure you that watching Coach K and Duke slowly build the Blue Devil powerhouse to get to the top of the heap has not gone unnoticed at UNC. Many UNC fans hate Coach K for his leadership in Duke's supplanting UNC. Just the mention of Coach K's name will elicit shrieks of "Rat Face" or "Hitler". This derangement syndrome is often accompanied by a red face and bulging facial blood vessels.
Duke fans generally, on the other hand, playfully joke around about UNC and Coach Williams. You will see much less vitriol coming from the Duke side of things, mostly just good natured ribbing about "Wanda's nanner puddin" or some other insignificant issue. Wanda, by the way, is Roy's wife whose banana pudding is the stuff of (perhaps mythological) legends and allegedly has swayed many a high school recruit.

Duke fans hate UNC because they are cheating sacks of crap who have destroyed decades of competition and other people's work.
