I don't know what schools did what but obviously a lot of the top players had their hands out. Which is pretty terrible. The schools should have reported them to the fBI. If all the top players care about is money, let them turn pro as high school juniors (bagley) and seniors

Lets be clear, the 17 year old junior and senior high schoolers are NOT instigating this. It is leaches and pathetic relatives trying to make money off the kids regardless of the potential risk to the kids future.

As a dad, I would bust an AAU coach's ***, an agent's *** and anyone else trying to profit off my kid before college.

I get Im an outsider and all but I think the reports that came out today showed a lot, it showed the top guys like Duke and UK are doing things pretty clean. I think both schools are so big that neither have to cheat, the power of their names do most of the recruiting. I think the reports for Wendell was a joke and glad Duke is saying he's cleared. And I expect the same to follow for UK and Knox. Really the fact that Wendell's and Knox's name got brought up into this for a stupid dinner bill is ridiculous to me.

You’ve found the perfect board for you.
Top players are paid except duke and uk. Ok

Since we are so tight now can you give us some insight as to:

1. How to get a kid eligible by completing 2 years of HS in 2 months?

2. How to give a player a $100,000 jewelry loan while in school with no punishment whatsoever?

We need a little recruiting boost of our own...

USC had a player yesterday and San Diego state today just to name two.

I know about Pope of SDSU. He was on the "taking money" list not the free meal list.
Haven't heard the other news. ..just to name two.......I'll wait for the other 48 or so.

I’m not sure what you’re implying. I’m pretty sure all the schools involved are currently investigating the matter themselves. All while duke has already cleared their guy. Seems as though they went and asked him if he received anything, he said no and boom, they’re in the clear. That’s basically my main point.

Actually the entry does not say that the agent paid for Knox's lunch but paid X amount for lunch. Obviously Knox could have paid for his own lunch and the agent paid for his own lunch and submitted a record of doing this as an income tax write off o0r justification for a trip. Obviously there may never have been a lunch but the agent was listing names and amounts simply to justify deducting as a business trip his trip to Florida!

Maybe it's for drinks he had waiting, who knows, was there even an amount with Knox? If so I say screw it, pay it, what does it matter if it happened. Paying it just to be safe clears us, but is there an amount?

We joke about Duke and all the sudden reclassification, eligibility and their past history including Thomas and others. We make fun of K with the rat jokes but it does really get old when you are hit in the face over and over again with how much differently Duke is treated by the NCAA,officials and the NCAAT committee. We make fun of it but it just seems that someone should call them out and question why it goes on.Surely the teams in the ACC are tired of it just as the Big 12 teams probably are tired of the KU bull **** that goes on year after year.

Huggins called them out to a degree but he went about half far enough. No wonder there are scandals all over the place in college basketball Duke,UNC and KU play by a different set of rules than does most everyone else (both on and off the court)

Then you have certain members of the media and some people in the NCAA on a never ending witch hunt for Cal and still others doing the same because it is UK (with Cal being an extra bonus)

If the NCAA treated everyone the same many of the problems we see now wouldn't be issues.
