That is his trademark play - one hand pushing the DB away and the other hand making the catch while he is falling away. He has at least half dozen of those and probably more

Well deserved. Have to mention that great one hander by the Maryland tight end early in the game.

As a few sports writers have said, if he was on a top 10 team his name would be on the Heisman list. Smith is probably the best WR in the country but Duff is either 2nd or 3rd.

He also got toe tip in with inches of room. If Indiana WR did the same thing Indiana would have beat Ohio St.
There isn't a QB anywhere that doesn't wish for a Duff to throw to
Best receiver RU has had in all our memories and deserves consideration as a first rounder, but c’mon now. The toe in or out / Indiana WR comparison is homer-absurd. So few inches one way or the other is luck. No one on earth is that or precise while landing.

Last yr an IU receiver did the same on 4th down to beat PSU at the end of the game. Does that mean he’s as good as Duff ?

You are thinking of Omar Cooper Jr (drafted by Jets). Cooper landed that toe tap reception as well as anyone could. In fact, he said knew that pass was going to be close and that he would have to be aware of the boundary . Some guys practice that a lot and are good at it. Cooper had like 2 inches to spare while dragging his foot as he exited in-bounds area. I don't think anyone could have done it better in any large way. Marsh on the other hand didn't do a great job and looked lost. Former NFL players and coaches blamed WR Nick Marsh more than the QB (who had defenders in his face). In the NFL Antonio Brown was great toe tap WR with Steelers. I 've never seen Duff have to do a one inch toe tap but at his height his advantage is he could catch the ball higher and before it went too far out

The difference with Copper's- Yes- an all time great catch...what makes Duff's different- not necessarily better - Is the one hand stick. Not only that but his height and length- as good as any other WR may be in college- not a single one makes that catch if thrown at them 100 times. It just would not be physically possible.
