Did anyone notice the updated renderings in the new Dudy Noble Field commercial at the MSU-LSU game?

The renderings on the MSU Bulldog Club webpage are different than the actual construction (especially in the on-field bullpen).
Does anyone know where you can view the latest renderings?

as far as i know, this is the most recent concept:

a little watered down from the original, but still going to be pretty awesome and an easy best in the nation.

It doesn't really affect me directly as I am fortunate enough to have purchased chairbacks, but it still amazes me that Joe Fan that shows up on a Saturday to bring his 10 year old to the game and doesn't have a reserved seat, has only the option of a grassy berm to sit on. I can't fathom a stadium without ANY general admission stands or walk up seats. Want a berm on the right field line? Fine...but put something down the left field line for a man and his kids to sit on at a reasonable cost. And maybe I'm just not seeing the big picture, but without said stands, will we ever set new attendance records again since the new grandstand didn't absorb those numbers?

As I have said before, it is a nice stadium, but the seating issue mentioned above seems like regression rather than progress. As someone that lives 10 hours away, and gets to a game or two a year, I'm not going to sit my old self on a grass hill for 3-4 hours. The post season will be where the biggest issues are.

There are going to be temporary seating options on the big games/postseasons. Big open concourses allow for that possibility anyway.

I'm not going to rehash my thoughts on this since everyone already knows them. The needed fixes aren't complicated or expensive and do not have to happen immediately.

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure that every single seat in the new grandstand was sold as a season ticket. The capacity went up slightly, and the price tag went up considerably. Then you also have the former season ticket holders who upgraded to premium seating areas. So just based on simple math and the supply / demand curve, there is a possibility that there will be a handful of single game tickets available each weekend for the grandstand. And my guess is, outside of SBW or maybe a home series against Ole Miss or LSU, you'll have no problem getting seats in that area. Still have the box office, ticket exchange, and folks outside the stadium selling chairbacks that you could utilize.

Berms have been the trendy ballpark novelty out here (Texas) for a little while now, but I hate them.

At Baylor, you can't see anything between the back of the mound and home plate. You're kinda blind until the ball is in play. A&M is a little nicer, pretty much the same.

It's just a really bad gameday experience.

A revamp of the ticket situation probably shuffled out 500-700 chairbacks that were lost in limbo to people who never used them and never tried to give them anyone else. It's also safe to say that people who have invested in the new stadium are more likely to try to resell unused tickets. There will still be only a finite amount of seats available, but your chances of getting some chairbacks the week of the game will be much greater.

Yeah. I'm afraid we're really Larry Templetoning this stadium. The one in the original drawing was incredible. I'm afraid with this one, we're saddling ourselves with another stadium with fundamental design problems that can't be corrected after the fact.

The renderings on the Bulldog Club then are a bit misleading in my opinion.
The concept of The Backstop (under grandstand lounge) appears to be completely different than actual construction. Am I wrong?

I think the project has been significantly scaled back from the original drawings. Would have been better to wait another year to get the money lined up to do it right than rush to half-*** it this offseason.

The poor sight lines were only an issue in the bleachers. The grandstand was always fantastic, but you couldn't get in unless you have a reserved ticket.

Several have addressed this, but I really hope there will be some GA seating options in the grandstand. That's where the old stadium failed most glaringly, IMO, is not that it was older or had bad sight lines (in the grandstand), but there was no way Joe Fan could sit there unless he had a ticket (which were very difficult to come by on big weekends). It sucked royally having to sit in the bleachers and look at a half-empty grandstand.

I don't care as much about the flashy new grandstand as I do operations addressing that problem. Grassy slopes more or less equal metal bleachers without the seat to sit on. I'd much rather watch the game from the house.

Robbie Faulk reported on 247sports that the backstop will now be a club level area similar to what LSU has. Essentially, you have behind the plate seating with special access to an underneath-the-stadium club level area. It's the scoreboard club for baseball, essentially. If you look at the construction cam, that may be what those new tunnels are for that are separating seating just behind home plate from seating behind the dugouts and beyond.

I was curious about future addition possibilities so I sketched a couple of ways to add more permanent seating down the foul lines. We will have plenty of room to add many more chairbacks and box seating if the demand is there and if the berms aren't popular.
