Unless UGA losses, I'm retiring my Dude Cooler after we clinch tomorrow. Let me know your recommends please. Wouldn't be against the backpack type, but don't want to spend a ton on something my kids will probably lose.

Is the cooler specific to use at the dude? I have an Arctic Zone Titan that's the best cheap cooler I've ever had, love that thing.
For big coolers, I've got a maroon and white K2 summit 50 that I found on sale on Amazon, good cooler.
Also check out Yeti Rescues, it's essentially a scratch-and-dent discounted yeti. I've gotten two of those and they're practically brand new on arrival, one of them I couldn't find a blemish on.

Easy to say on the Aleutians. A ziploc bag is good there, huh ?

Were you a hunting guide?
Was in the seafood industry, bounced around the Aleutian. Dutch Harbor, Akutan, False Pass, Sand Point. Pollock mostly, we'd process around 3 million lbs/day. Gray cod, black cod, halibut too, salmon in the summer, snow crab and king crab when in season. Got to know all the guys from deadliest catch. Alaska was an adventure but I'm glad to be back down south

I bought a $10 State backpack cooler at a Roses and it's the best thing I've purchased in a long time. Couple years old now and no problems.

1. Any time my kids ever "borrowed" anything of value of mine, they knew my routine. They had to look me in the eyes and say "I'll replace it if anything happens", then I would gladly give it to them. I never had to hold them to it.
2. Don't blow a bunch of money on a baseball cooler, you only need it to work a max of 2 days and that's only if you leave it out there at a lounge. Otherwise a cheap bag cooler that doesn't leak or a cheap Igloo plastic one with a drain and wheels is all you need. When I leave a cooler out there for the weekend it's a hard plastic one I've drilled a hole into the lid of and filled with extra window and door spray foam, keeps ice all weekend. A piece of bubble wrap w/ the silver foil insulation over the top of your ice and beverages of choice keeps it even better. Don't spend money on a Yeti or RTIC etc for a day or 2 max of ice and a chance somebody will steal it if left unattended overnight.

The deadliest Catch was never the same after Capt Phil Harris died . I'd love to hear more stories about the Aleutians .

The point I would make is I would NEVER go back to UGA, cooler or no cooler, even with a Kroger bag!! I've been down there (from SC) a couple times for baseball (we ALWAYS got beat) and for one football game. I'll never go back there, ever. Fans are downright rude and obnoxious!!

It was never the same after they starting selling quotas where all they do now is max out. Racing for lbs was fun to watch.
