Anybody here a drone enthusiast?

Need some input. Thinking about getting one for my 18 year old son for Christmas.

An 18 year old? That won't last long.

Been reading and watching some good stuff about the dji 2 mini drone.

Lots of reviews on youtube

He's actually pretty responsible with his electronics. I think I'll look into the DJI mini. I think he'll have a lot of fun with it.

Foxnews just got a new one and they have border coverage. Can the public really just buy drones with that much tech in them? They had infrared on it and were busting people crossing over the border. I bet it was expensive.

For the price you probably can beat the mini and DJI makes great stuff. However, check out the Skydio 2, especially if he likes active stuff too, like mountain biking, skateboarding, ATVs, etc. It can run fully autonomous and track you really well. I’ve used it to track a RZR in the mountains and it was zooming in and out of trees almost flawlessly. It is pretty unreal.
It is also made in the US, which is always nice.

I have a bunch of DJI stuff and can say it's top quality across the board
