Drafted by the Chargers in 2001 along with Carlos Polk (and some guy named LaDainian Tomlinson). That team was also led by none other than HC Mike Riley and DC Mark Banker. Yikes.

I really wanted the Bears to get him when we left SD. How different things might have been with one of the best ever at QB.

I may be wrong, but I believe at one point he badly wanted to be a Husker coming out of high school.

Yeah that was great. But if I have to listen to Joe Tessitore and his constant hype machine for EVERYTHING again, I'll just plain stop watching.

It's funny how he wasn't good enough for the Chargers but an obnoxious jerk like Phillips Rivers was.

Not a very honest way of looking at it, though. The Chargers only saw 2 winning seasons under Brees, and many feared that a torn labrum and rotator cuff damage to his throwing shoulder was too much to come back from.

Brees and Witten are just taking the money.... no different than any athlete spokesman. That said advocare has ruined many friendships and families that unknowingly fell into the deep end of a pyramid scheme.

Yeah, they are taking the money. but they're endorsing something that most people will never make anything off of and destroy friendships families and their finances. As you said earlier, it's a classic pyramid scheme. It's not something anybody respectable should be endorsing.
