He's been impressive to say the least. Imagine what he would do with a Moss or Owens to throw to.

What do all you Saints fans (and others) think?

Mutt, we all know you think Romo is this year's MVP. No need to reply.

If the Saints make the playoffs (which is still a long shot), he will win MVP going away

I don't think he gets it if no playoffs... which is not saying he still shouldn't deserve it. I think he should. To put up these numbers with everyone that has been hurt is sick

is the most valuable and the most outstanding player in the league. He is having a record breaking year with no running back and no receivers.

If the Saints make the playoffs, he's MVP. If they don't, it's either Eli or possibly Kurt Warner of the Cardinals.

Also, probably the best QB playing right now, even though Peyton is getting healthy.

but Brees is the closest to that. The defense is just atrocious.

If the Saints dont make the playoffs it will have nothing to do with the offense and everything to do with the defense being horrible for the 15th year in a row.

Croom could look like an offensive genius against that squad. The Dome Patrol is rolling over in its grave this season. With a mid-league level defense this team would not have more than 3 losses.

I said it two years ago, last year, and I am saying it again this year....The Saints front office needs to go ape **** crazy in the offseason for free agents and draft nothing but D players this year. I would guess the Saints have no more than 2-3 more season with this offense to make a run. Its obvious that Brees/Peyton can put up 30 pts/game using scout team WRs/RBs...why draft or sign FA's on offense?

...and you're right, Brees is doing all he can to pull New Orleans into the playoffs. I didn't expect the Saints to beat the Packers by that much. If only he could play defense too...

I really wasn't trying to take advantage of semantics. My point is that I don't think an Eli Manning's performance is anymore valuable or any better b/c he has a defense and a running game.

Good-to-great stats while leading the team to the playoffs or crazy-out-of-the-world stats and miss the playoffs (e.g., Pujols and Dawson)? Hopefully, Brees' crazy-out-of-the-world stats and making the playoffs will happen, but I don't see it. This was the first time this season New Orleans won back-to-back games.
