Drake a Memphis man now?

His dad lives here and he did a song with local artist Blocboy JB. and Drake spend many summers living with his dad in Memphis.
Drake is a self promoter. Anybody that thinks he watches all UK games and cheers for us while on the edge of his seat has been fooled.
We’ll see how the enthusiasm holds up over a 14-loss season.

When they all go home, Memphis State will still be a second-tier program with a coach who has never won a college game, and Kentucky will still be Kentucky.
Shows penny has no creativity and has little man syndrome when it comes to cal.
Like him or not, loser just isn’t an accurate descriptor. He makes more money than all of us combined and can have any girl he wants. He’s breaking billboard records held by The Beatles.

I dont think anyone was foolish enough to think he was Ashley Judd 2.0 and a diehard fan. No. He was a Cal friend and did self promotion that we ALSO took advantage of to impress recruits. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement. Not Drake take advantage of us. And beyond that, anyone who is embarassed of Drake being associated is barking up the wrong tree. Cal and UK having Drake be part of the program is so NOT about the fans opinions it's not even funny. They could care less. Recruits think/thought it was badass, so they did it. If every high school basketball player was a fan of the Dixie Chicks despite the rest of UK fans not giving a ****, guess whod be at our Midnight Madness?

Who’s fault is that though ? I never thought he was a “real” UK fan, nor should anyone have as he only started coming around after Cal.
I’m sure he likes the Cats etc but anyone thinking that he’s a traitor or was always some big time fan are naive.
Personally I’m “meh” with him and I think he’s a bit above average as far as lyricism etc but he’s THE biggest rapper in the game right now and recruits think it’s cool so I’m more than happy having him around here and there
Consider the source of the loser comment, kev69, who came on here and asked if switching his 25 beers a night to liquor would help him lose weight which was one of multiple breakdowns on here spilling his personal life all over the message board. Anybody who can't understand the Drake and UK thing is just a simpleton. It's a mutually beneficial friendship, I'm sure Drake watches and cheers for Kentucky. Is he a die hard like us? Of course not, but getting the exposure of Drake parading around in UK stuff and hanging out with Cal is huge.
We do need to get someone impressive to show up for Madness. Penny is doing everything he can to one up UK every chance he gets.

Drake is a rapper. He goes places that will pay him large amounts of money to perform. He is a fan of whoever pays him money.

You think Drake needs UK to promote himself? Lol. Its nice of him to put us in his songs, it definitely helps with UK exposure to young recruits.

Drake uses any opportunity to promote himself. UK is one such avenue, as is Memphis. I know this is hard for you to process, but try to keep up.

I actually liked drake for a minute when he first Came onto the scene. His mixtapes were fire and every now and then he’ll still put out a decent banger (Right above it with Wayne is still one of my favs) , but his whole “I’m a bad ***”/ fake wangsta Persona is cringy as he grew up upper middle class/ privlaged and played a handicap kid on effing Degrassi lol

You always miss the point. Drake doesn't need to use CBB teams fan bases to promote himself he's literally a world wide icon. The fact you think Drake is going to Memphis, a small fanbase, to promote himself is super ignorant.
