What I've seen (NYT) says that Chief Justice Loughry is a Republican.
He worked for Harley Staggers, Gaston Caperton and Margaret Workman.......maybe he switched. I stand corrected if he is now a Republican.

Do you pay for your own office renovations at your place of work

Actually Mule my man I can't stand our standard issue company "office chairs" that someone in our equipment purchasing department got for the Dealership at a "Corporate discount". I ordered and paid for my own chair online, and often have to flip it out from under other sales associates' asses who tend to use it as their own when I'm not around!

How is it that someone who personifies what they emulate can be amazed by the precise substance of that which they embody?
Just wanted to add a few facts regarding Allen Loughry. Although he ran as a Republican (easier to get through the primary that year), Loughry was pretty much a lifelong Democrat. He was active in the Young Dems in his WVU days and worked for Rep. Staggers, Gaston Caperton and Darrell McGraw.

It's your story, make it whatever you want it to say and what you want to believe.

P.S. If you would have never brought up the political affiliation of the justices, no one would have.

Never mentioned political affiliations until this comment from Mule: "I'm not sure of affiliation of those justices, so I can't say that I think they are politically motivated."

Nobody cared about their affiliation until you brought it up. You are driven ny political affiliations and it explains some of your ignorance.

Wouldn’t the below quote really have been the start of the political affiliation discussion?

Are you kidding? Country would never give the board the courtesy to explain pejorative posts. We're still waiting on the explanation of Django posted to @atlkvb who btw was also accused by country of not voting in his own best interests casting his ballot for Trump.

We haven't received an explanation for that racist remark either.

I swear there is hardly a poster on this board who is proven more consistently wrong about more sh*t than country. I mean this OT poster is all Big 12 Conference just for constantly getting sh*t screwed up and WRONG!

Just Damn.

The governor wants to pick the entire Court, duh. And he will...until the next election. And once these Justices are seated, it will be an uphill battle to unseat them.

Damn, we've flashed back to the "good ole days" of corrupt WV politics - W.W. Barron and Arch Moore.
don't forget cecil underwood and hullet c smith
