<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'"><font size="2">Since the Keenum/earmark thread was high jacked by ridiculous stupidity referring to UM, I thought that this needed to be further discussed.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></font></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'"><font size="2">MSU does not only get "earmarks", but is one of the best in the nation at working with the agencies to get grants.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span> I was talking to Dr. Keenum a while back and he was telling me that MSU has one of the best lobbyists around (can't remember his name, but I think he said that he was promoted from MAFES), and that MSU's federal funding drastically increased when he was hired a few years back.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></font></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'"><font size="2"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'"><font size="2">Keenum</font></span> could have easily taken credit for all of the success of MSU in Washington, but I just thought it was great of him to give credit to others who have been at MSU.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span> <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></font></span></p>
