I realize 15 was under pressure most of the day but will he and Dana EVER throw the ball downfield?

What do you consider “downfield”, more than 30 yards? There was a 52 yard completion last play of first half. Yes he was under pressure in about 3 seconds on most pass attempts.
Unless the pass protection is better you won’t be seeing any long passes.

We almost have to roll Dylan out to give him enough time to throw deep against a defense as talented as Michigan’s. When you do that you limit his options to about half the field. Teams have been willing in some degree to give us underneath routes to prevent the big plays.

You guys act like throwing deep is an easy thing to do. #1, the defense has to bring up safeties for the run game..there is no reason to do that against Nebraska because we can't run the ball physically and consistently. We also don't have a WR who can consistently beat big 10 corners, let alone safeties. Our WRs are either undersized or slow. This is why talent wins. Palmer, our last NFL type talent at WR won us multiple games by just running away from the defense.

How did we score our first touchdown?
Should have been 2 TDs before we scored our first TD. Dana either called or Dylan audibled in to a couple of questionable play calls in the redzone on those first two drives. Convert those two opportunities and it’s a COMPLETELY different game. Our O line made it look easy those two drives to get to the 7 yard line. 😕

The long ball is very overrated. Percent of completion goes down and you expose your QB. What’s wrong with a 20 yard pass/run? I would settle for hitting some of these WRs in stride and let them run for another 10-20 yards.

Something I saw yesterday perplexed me. They had a wide camera shot and our receivers (I can’t see them all were but three did) were sitting down like the D was in a zone and they were manned up with guys right on their hips.

our best weapon is our TE.

you might want to rewatch that first drive before posting laughably incorrect stuff like this.

14 yd Johnson run.
Nice scramble and find for 22 to Luke
Nice run for Mekhi for 11.
Good throw by Dylan off of play action to Hunter for 13.
End around to Jacory for 7 setting up 2nd and 3 at the 7.

Those are 5 of the first 7 plays. Seems pretty good. You could see we were going to struggle in pass pro, but we looked like we could run block early and I couldn't think of one good reason not to keep pounding it on 2nd and 3 from the 7 and expect to score a TD if you ran 7 straight times there.

Agree. Which is why the fade pass was such a bad call
