I love it! Bye, bye Nova. Any time they lose and Jay Wright loses, makes my day! Could it be that maybe, just maybe the BE may be slightly overrated? I do. Oh, and go Utah!

I said all year they were the most overrated team in the top 10 and they were!

Unfortunately I missed most of yesterday's games but I don't think this is too much of a surprise. Jay Wright and some other coaches don't usually make deep tourney runs even if though they may do well in the regular season and make the tourney frequently or are a high seed. Mike Brey and Jamie Dixon are a couple others that come to mind. They go out by the end of the first weekend more often than you'd expect. I think Wright has made it past the sweet 16 1 or 2 times. I'm not sure Brey has and Dixon maybe once or twice as well.

I was strongly considering NC State to take them down but I decided against it but I had them losing to Louisville in the sweet 16. Looks like ND squeaked by Butler but I have them going down in the sweet 16 too to Kansas but I would pick Wichita State over them too if they beat Kansas.

Yea, that must suck for them.. We haven't even made it to the sweet 64 in all that time.

The point wasn't a comparison to us. I'm not sure why there's the constant comparison to our lousy program. Does every conversation about things going on elsewhere or in the sport in general have to have an interjection related to RU.

The point was despite doing well in the regular season and making the tournament fairly frequently some coaches have difficulty getting out of the first weekend even when higher seeds. Jay Wright, Mike Brey, Jamie Dixon are ones that come to mind right away. It's why I never really pick them to go far in my brackets in any given year no matter how good they may do in the regular season. Again nothing to do with us.

BB is their big sport. If football for RU had won 4 games then you could make fun of RU. Football is our main deal.

NC St really outplayed them. Killed them in the paint and forced them into a bad shooting night.

All year when I've watched them I've felt like when they're good they're very good and when they're bad they're awful.

Iowa is alot like that and it will be interesting to see what Hawkeye team shows up today.

It felt strange rooting for an ACC team, which is against my religion, although at least I have a family connection to that one. But cutting down Nova is always a good thing and the role they played in the demise of the BE always irked me. Nevertheless, I've always wished that Jay had come here rather than there when he left LI.

Live by the three die by the three. The lived well most of the year and I wondered if they could withstand a poor shooting night against a quality opponent. It wasn't just the 3pt shot as they did not finish well around the basket at all. Still they might have won if they could have kept NC State off the glass. Their lack of size other than Ochefu was exposed which is why I could never see them beating a team like Kentucky unless they shot amazingly well from 3. They also seemed to struggle on the perimeter in their man defense. NC State guard were too quick. Couldn't believe how easily they were getting in the paint then distributing well.

It's easy to take shots at Nova this morning but they earned their #1 seed. Jay will hear some criticism about his post season record and rightfully so as they underachieved in the tournament again. He seemed to lose his composure a bit at the end with the refs and that was not pretty. I thought the suit jacket might actually come off! I had not seen NC State for a full game and I thought they looked pretty good. I got the sense their bigs (especially Abu) may have played above expectations, but if they bring the same intensity they will be a tough out.

I hate it too and it's not just on BB Board.

People on our site feel the need to make those comments whenever this kind of thread pops up on any of the other Boards about some others schools misfortune.

We get it. We're in the glass house with the broken windows...ALL of them. But sometimes it's not about us.

There's always one clown like you that invades these types of threads when it has NOTHING to do with Rutgers! Oh, and still Nova **** the bed!
