Buyout on Frost drops 50% after October 1st, so Nebraska is merely waiting three weeks. Our guy needs to be gone, but we’re too dumb

At least they were smart enough to renegotiate a contract to cut Frost pay,
Again, they CARE about trying to fix their problems. They told their coach what he MUST do or he was going to be fired. Now they will fire him in a few weeks and land someone we would NEVER even look at.

Shouldn’t matter, we owe him the money win or lose. But you’re right that too many teams can’t understand a sunk cost and ruin themselves further by not cutting bait

Brown should step down. It would be the honorable thing to do. He is hated here except by a small handful of fans. Make a deal behind the scenes, renegotiate the contract, whatever needs done, just get this ******* out of Morgantown. He should be well aware by now that he is not welcome to be the HC of WVU anymore.

So Nebraska didn’t even want to wait three more weeks to save $7.5M after all. They’d seen 47 games of the same thing and realized it was hopeless, but at least they were smart enough to realize “saving money” by letting coaches continue to ruin you is a terrible goal in big-time sports.

I’ll give you one guess who else will coincidentally have a lousy 47-game resume at the end of this season. Let’s see if that school is smart enough to make the right decision, too.
