Why on Earth were they shuffling personnel and not just putting the return team out there? There’s no way in Hell Auburn is going to run a play in that situation.

Asking for a friend...I wonder if Nick Saban will throw the players under the bus, mention the culture, and/or blame the problems left by the previous coaching regime (Mike Shula) for the loss today in the end of game press conference?

So what happened?
Auburn went into a regular offensive formation on 4th down and 4 from about their own 30 yard line and Alabama got caught in a scramble and had 12 guys on the field. Which made no sense at all, because Auburn was clearly going to call a timeout and bring in the punter. Just a complete brain cramp on Bama's end.

Saban was also mad about the end of the first half when Auburn was given one more second and lined up for a field goal. . .in a game they won by 3. Suck it, 'Bama.

Utah now with a chance to vault into the playoff picture. Don't really think the Utes are a top 4-ish team, but they'll almost certainly spank Colorado and should be able to beat Oregon.

Just goes to say the big 10 refs are the absolute worst, no way would a big 10 ref call that on Ohio st
Something like that is hard to ignore. Having lived in SEC country for a very long time, I promise you Bama has been more then taken care of by the SEC.

The SEC real hope has always been UGA Beats LSU and then there is no doubt they get 2 in

They were called for 12 men on the field on a punt and were about to get the ball back down 3.
that's coaching. Fire Saban! Maybe this will quiet all of the SEC homers about Bama still getting in the playoff without winning their division.

Colorado is going toe to toe with the Utes.

Watching first half of Utah and Colorado. Utah would get destroyed by Ohio St, Clemson, or LSU. I think the 4th team comes from the Big 12 or If SEC champ is close they get a 4th team. Utah got crushed against USC earlier this season.

Thank the football gods 'Bama lost. Because, with the #5 ranking, they were about to back into yet another playoff by skipping the SEC Championship Game with one loss. I'm so tired of the 'Bama Rule, which states they always need to be the top-ranked one-loss team, and be no lower than #5 no matter how many undefeated and solid one-loss teams are out there.

I don't disagree. Utah is a good team, but not nearly on the same level as those three. But, that might not stop them from getting in.

Alabama is the best argument in CFB that there are such things as morale victories in losing. The fact they were #5 with no major victories and the biggest argument to leave them in being they lost close to LSU.

A 7 pt road loss and out-yarding an opponent is getting crushed?

How many other 0 loss and 1 loss teams are out there to take that 4th spot? Oklahoma? Alabama crushes them every time they play them. Baylor, Memphis, App State? Alabama absolutely deserved to get in with only 1 loss, but now that they have two it doesn't really matter.
