That roughing the passer call on OSU the last drive was very much like the one we had against leavitt last week. Both calls were BS and both times the officials tried tacking on targeting too. Roughing the passer needs to be a reviewable play as it automatically gives a team a first down and some of these calls are just flat out horrible.

Cignetti is a tremendous coach. I hope Will Stein is talked about in 10 years as Cignetti is today. What he has accomplished at IU is definitely the motivation needed for UK to move on from Stoops. Obviously, it helped that IU has a billionaire alum willing to put up the $ needed to improve football.

Agree and understand they want to protect guys but it’s gotten out of control. If OSU loses their qb they are in serious trouble.

Not a fan of IU but I also dislike OSU. The one downside of IU losing today is that the Buckeyes won.
Years ago, I was neutral to OSU and their fans but living in SWFL for many, many years I am exposed to OSU fans a lot. They are insufferable... entitled... will take over a bar/restaurant, spend little and cheer a first down when they are up by 40 playing Podunk U.

It’s unlikely OSU is going to drop 2 games but I would like to see Indiana and UCLA meet in the BIG10 championship. That would an interesting matchup with both coaches from the same coaching tree. I think Bruins could beat the Hoosiers

Is it me or are both of those teams vastly overrated? Indiana was superb last year but not even close this year.

Who isnt then? Texas is. Alabama is. Georgia losing ar home to crsppy auburn but sure they will pull it out

Nd and Miami hardly play anyone. So hard to judge.

Title seems more wide open to me this season

I think we're better than they are
We should move ahead of them in the polls imo but I don't see it actually happening. IU 6-1 SOS 1.26 (47th) UK 6-1 SOS 8.67 (8th)
Disclosure: The schedule numbers are actually prior to today since they have not updated yet.

IU's schedule is a JOKE. At least OSU played Texas this season. Notre Dame's schedule is an even bigger joke and that #2 ranking was laughable. It did not age well.

Does IU make the playoff if they don't beat a ranked team this year? Especially if they drop one more game?

I've really been vocal for over 50 years about how much I absolutely loathe and hate IU fans. In basketball. Personal horrible experiences proved that. But in football?

Well, even IU fans can say they were the worst power 5 team in history until a couple year ago when Cignetti changed the culture. I've no issue with the IU football supporter, they're halfway decently respectful because they sucked for so long. So they got no bone to pick with anyone in football.

I've actually said what was happening at IU should be positive for EVERY power conference team that has had little to no success. IU proves you can change things in today's era very quickly, and become one of the best - with the right coach.

So seeing them do well is still excouraging to me because they are proving it isnt a one off or a fluke. I'd LOVE to see a UK IU title or/playoff game? That would be insanely alternate bizarro universe awesome.

What 99% of fans don't do is simply focus on their team to do well, get better as a program year after year, gamew after game, and keep things in the NOW. The past is the past. The future, nobody knows.

Keeping focus on yourself and shutting out the talk and fan/expert prognostications and overreatcions every day and every week does NOTHING for any team to improve themselves.

What Stein has done is completely change the program's look and feel, and direction. It's undeniable now.

So we can be respectful and positive at the same time, and I personally have no need to hate on any other team.....

EXCEPT LOUISVILLE.

In-state ******* fans we have to deal with everywhere, and in either football or basketball or volleyball or tiddly winks, those insufferable arrogant asshats need us Kentucky fans to keep them in check, if not for the sake of the rest of the country.

Louisville fans deserve it, they've earned it. A forever sports hate from their biggest in-state rival.

This year has already become very very special and bodes well for the future, but we need to keep it in the now in order for us to continue moving forward as a program. I try to remember that for myself, and not overreact to any single game.

It works for me, anyway

Go Big Blue !

If they go 10 and 2 almost 100% they are in. We may finally see a 9 and 3 loss regular season team from the sec make it as well if the sec keeps cannabalizing itself.

Emphasis on 12 game regular season 9 and 3 team before someone comes along and says but alabama already did last year. No, they were 10 and 2 and then lost n sec title game.

I think they're close. The OSU game last year was 13-10. They literally missed it by a foot yesterday.
I thought for sure IU was going to squeak by. Miami almost went down and the Irish went down so you are probably right and just a lot of good teams that are evenly matched.
