When TU was looking for a new head coach in 2014, Doug Meacham was a rising star as OC at TCU. Rumors were that TU showed interest in Meacham & he called Pat Jones for advice. Meacham is an OSU alum. Jones ( who has never had any respect or love for TU) advised Meacham to stay away from Tulsa.
Since 2014, Meacham has gone from OC at TCU, to OC at KU, to unemployed. Doug was fired by Kansas yesterday.
Hopefully for Doug, he won’t be calling Pat Jones for any more career advice!
