Agreed he utilized the freshman very well but we really need Myles to play like Myles he was just not aggressive at all tonight and got eaten up on the defensive end

Palmquist has me curious. The D was laying off him in the corner and I really want to know how often he can make that shot.

That Reiber 3 pointer was not a bad shot- it rimmed the basket. The staff must have seen he has the range.

Things are much easier if Myles stays out of foul trouble. That was the difference.
If Myles was in foul trouble we lose.

Pike's rotation was about 1000 times better than the OSU game. He stole minutes early which prevented foul trouble when the zebras got whistle happy in the 2nd half.
Pike had time to game plan with these guys in mind. At OSU, it was hard to figure out which guy should get minute and when on the fly.

Agree on all three. It looked like Reiber created some space for himself a few times but did not get the ball. I really like his size and skill set, but like our other freshman did not get the benefits of playing a full slate of out of conference games.

I think the refs have gotten in MJs head. Add no Cliff and he is backing down to avoid fouls

I’m okay with MJ backing down to avoid fouls. He is our best rebounder by a very, very large margin.

Some pretty impressive minutes from Reiber today on both ends of the floor.

Was nice to see one fall from 3 for Palm tonight. Hope seeing one go down helps get him going a bit.

Reiber has a ways to go on defense, looking lost at times. I think he will develop nicely. As was stated by many before, very few pre-B1G games for him to get used to the college game. Into the fire you go! He contributed well tonight.

Great to see Oscar knock down that 3. He is the most relieved guy about that, obviously. Relax and play! I loved him getting on the floor for a loose ball.

Doucure battled well. Tough minutes in the paint, and no dumb fouls except the questionable bailout that wasn't his fault anyway.

yes, it seemed like MJ was playing like he had 3 fouls. The way the last game was called can do that to anyone. He will be fine by Iowa..
one of best things about tonight was getting our reserves valuable playing time, and other players (Tez today) becoming the go-to guy..
great halftime adjustment by Pike to turn Thompson from a Purdue asset into a liability. Geo was able to drive at will in 2nd half
A much better game from the officials
The Wild Zebras from the last game dragged me away from watching hoops for a week

That was out of necessity without Harper.

I really like Reiber’s game. He was our plus minus leader at + 14. He has solid defensive skills, has a knack for the ball and his jumper impressed me tonight. Kid should play every game going forward .

Thought the rotation was great tonight and even when cliff comes back they should earn minutes to help the team out

Probably the only prototype power forward we have. Harper does a great job but he's more of a wing player
