At the most recent Court Club meeting, Smoke said he's gained significant weight. He came in as an absolute rail at 156 pounds. He's about 185 now.
We all see him on the court, engaged with the team, during the warm-ups; does he really look like he's 185 to any of us. Maybe he puts on a backpack with weights when he gets on a scale.

Just passing along what Smoke said.

I've been impressed with his approach (with his teammates) during the pre-game warm-ups, and right in there celebrating with the rest of the team on the post game on the court interviews with Chris Corso. So he seems pretty engaged, and one person don't see leaving; just hope he can contribute next season - which is why the original question is a good one.

He is very engaging with the team and the fans during pre-game. Only thing I didn't like was watching him eat a bag of chips while on the court pre-game. Let me tell you I'm old school without telling you I'm old.

I assume he practices with the team? Any word on how he’s performing/looks going forward?
Definitely tag me in the future or post this over on the round table and I’ll see it quicker.

He’s a work in progress, needs to continue to add weight and muscle.

If I was Pike I'd buy him the Party size, a brisk wind could blow him over. Was right next to him during the Maryland warm ups, he looked like a stick. I felt bad and was going to offer him my cheeseburger.

He's not going into the portal; so if he doesn't play next season - or ever - that would be cause he isn't a good enough to get on the court. Maybe in 7-8 months he can get to the weight needed to get on the court. Hate for another developmental player not to work out.

Was it Lays or Wise or No Brand Potato Chips ?

Hopefully the added calories to gain weight.

How do you know he isn't going in the portal?

That doesn't matter nowadays. Just takes one team to think decently rated guy w year of college conditioning to offer him more than we want.
Right. Might be worth more before he ever steps onto the court. Just like Ace Bait was.

Exactly.
Baye Fall turned two unproductive years totaling 74 minutes of playing time into a Big Ten spot and payday.
Even had people saying he was the "defensive anchor" the team needed.

Anyone can have "value".
Just takes 1 head coach.

I think it’s a bit more unlikely at guard. There are so many of them. Can’t see why anyone would pay a premium for an unproven one.
