It's just a way to get a game in and not make the team, especially the pitchers, sit for a long spell. It's a game with a D1 team that is about as close distancewise as it could be so that exam schedules aren't an inconvience. And ever since conference expansion and the resultant scheduling, it happens on with ACC football a lot. So many complaints early in the season about playing Lemoyne and they not being competative. This is a game against a lot better team, even though we just dropped 22 on them. LOL!

The Le Moyne series was a head-scratcher. I have to believe that some previously scheduled series cancelled or fell through. I can’t remember playing a team that is almost #300 in the RPI in a weekend series before.

Regarding the Duke midweek game, we should focus and win it and then everyone will be fine. I’d like it to be against a non-rival (because rivalry games are so hard to predict)…but it’s a decent midweek game with a moderate RPI team.

Duke is a non con game to fill in the exam week gap.

I really strong recommend listening to or watching my weekly conversations w Coach Forbes as we’ve discussed the schedule several times this season and the why behind it all.

And a lot of other topics that come up here as questions.

Hey TA we (the tooth doc and I) always listen to the postgame interviews with 21 and the players players after every game, even the 30 or more than we’ve seen in person. It’s been a great way to understand Coach and the philosophies that he leads by. Definitely would ditto your recommendation. And the weekly interviews are icing on the cake!

The game is a smart schedule in my opinion as Duke didn't have a weekend series due to exams also the NCAA has said non conference games vs conference teams are viewed as conference games when selecting teams for the NCAA tournament. The game will be managed as a conference game I am sure. One option would be to bring lynch back Sunday vs Duke and he would have a full week before the start vs Pitt the following Saturday.

I’m betting we start DeCaro against Coastal on Tuesday, Jackson Rose against Queens on Wednesday, and Lynch against Duke on Sunday. At least as Plan A.

Scott said after the game yesterday that either DeCaro or Rose will start against Coastal, and it sounded like we might see both of them. I realize anything can happen in baseball, but it really shouldn't matter who we start against Queens. I fully expect Lynch to start Sunday against dook, and throw as many as 100 pitches, since he won't have to pitch again for 6 days.

Looks like we caught a scheduling beak as Coastal has a conference series next weekend. Have to imagine we have Decaro going against one of their midweek arms.

Similar to football playing Wake Forest in a non conference football game several years ago - a low cost quality opponent - draws good fan crowd - win/win
