It was just the shine from his positive mojo aura in tonight's game, if I'm not mistaken....

I can tell by the usual fire Cal threads after 20 minutes. It’s so stupid. It’s every game.
I wasn’t that we were playing bad (although the TOS have GOT to give); let’s just say 21 is a number only nice in blackjack.

Allen’s shots weren’t falling, but otherwise, he had a decent game. The shoes did stand out, though.

He actually really stepped up tonight!! In only 19 minutes, he had 14 points on 5-12 shooting from the field to go along with SEVEN boards (!!), 2 assists including a nice alley to Collins, a steal, and zero turnovers. Kid had himself a great game in Brooks’ absence. Was good to see him get that jam too. Allen is shorter than Derek Willis but there’s no reason he can’t fill a similar role for the Cats. Really encouraged by his rebounding tonight and hope he keeps it up. Keep hustling young man and good things will happen.

I think that was Allen's best overall game in a UK uniform tonight. He played really good Defense.
I said best overall game. Not his best shooting game of course.

Allen, when he rushes his shot it typically fails. He has a quick release but when it looks like a relaxed full motion he generally is on target. I don't know if this is being pointed out but it isn't difficult to observe. Otherwise this might have been one of his better all around games. He looked like a Junior Oscar grabbing rebounds, and his defense was much better. His over stats were good. In fact, I hate to say it because of the responses likely to occur, but it kind of reminded me of Juzang at Kentucky versus UCLA. Cal has supposedly created a particular role for Allen but his game looked like there was much more to it than that.

I was really impressed with Dontaie. 7 rebounds. He was skying up there for them too.

He was battling inside on offense. Scored

He needs to do those things. If you’re JUST a shooter and your shot doesn’t fall, you really have no business being out there.

Exactly, the rebounding makes me happier than the scoring.

Brooks: 7-11 for 17 and 8 boards
Fans: STAAP SHOOTING GAWD
Allen: 5-12 for 14 and 7 boards
Fans: OMFG BESTEST GAME EVAR
True but Brooks also had like 15 turns. 🤣 Not to mention, Brooks is a starter that plays 30+ MPG.

Pretty much, Brooks won’t get any breaks from some people. I just can call it like I see it. At this point he’s a good college player and our best option. I still hope Allen plays great and starts lighting it up from 3. The more options we have the better. Always great to have someone who can step up. Not everyone plays their best every game.

FALSE. That would be a big negative. It just bothers me when people lie to help them prove a point. He has 12 the same as TyTy, 1 less than Oscar that has 13 and 7 less than Wheeler who has 19 but has 55 assists and 9 steals. He makes up for it with his energy. So no Keion Brooks doesn't have 15 turnovers, he has 12 but I'm sure glad he's on our team. All our fans and family of players should be thankful.

It was an exaggeration lol Problem with Brooks’ turnovers is that it’s a result of trying to do too much and trying to do things he’s not capable of doing. At least not to this point anyway. His shooting has been solid.

You're being too hard on Brooks. He does have ONE assist to offset those turnovers.

Yeah. That’s the main thing that aggravates me with Brooks. He doesn’t even look for open teammates. Unless I’m missing something. With all the shooters we have on this team, one assist is terrible for as much run as Brooks has gotten so far this season.

This is what Facebook fact checking has done to the world.

On a sane planet calling 12 “like 15” in this context in casual conversation is unequivocally the best and the appropriate and the expected way to communicate “12 is so bad it may as well have been 15 and I’m so frustrated that it’s in the neighborhood of 15 that I’m rounding it up when I mention it but I’m also so honest and so open that I’m pairing the rounded up number with the qualifier ‘like’ just to remind everyone that I know Brooks didn’t technically get 15 turnovers and I’m not trying to start a rumor that he did” without having to specifically type out all that minutiae on a little phone.

It’s the literally best and the expected way to communicate all that. But in brainwashed America it’s “FALSE” and “a big negative” which supposedly makes your opinion worthless and a “lie.”

I agree he does need to learn how to pass the ball.
