Great message, We keep hearing the message of the players aren't bought in. We can't get where we need to be until the players mentality is right. Until they give 100% of their time and energy to Nebraska football. They must continue to believe even when times are hard. Until they believe without a doubt that they can have success.......
Maybe that message shouldn't be just for the players!
The mentality side of things is very very hard to fix. Especially when it is negative. Some of the players have had to deal with 3-5 years of negative emotion. Us fans have had to deal with 15- 20 years of it. So when we start heading down this same path of seeing crappy football. It is very easy to get sucked back into the mind set of, well here we go again. So I don't fault people for being negative this mentality is going to be a hard thing to break away from. The only thing that will break it, is success. The players need this first win badly, but the fans may need it even more. That's no kidding. The stuff I've heard from some of our fans and "experts" around the country is almost sickening. Three games into his tenure here and some people sound like they've already thrown in the towel.
Yeah, like lets play this for the next tunnel walk.Great message, We keep hearing the message of the players aren't bought in. We can't get where we need to be until the players mentality is right. I would say that is my biggest disappointment as well. That basically zero has changed since last year. I thought we would see a least a tiny bit of improvement from last year or at least week to week. We appear to be going backwards.I wasn't expecting a West championship this year. I just hoped to see a team more motivated and fundamentally sound than a Mike Riley team. I'm not seeing that. I was hoping that unlike a Mike Riley team, the product would get better as the season went along. i'm not seeing that either.
Mike Riley affect. If I hadn't seen his wife and kids I would have guessed he didn't have an ounce of testosterone in his body.So many of the players are soft, period. It is strange. At some point personal pride and testosterone should take over.
STFU, moron. Is this one of those self help motivation videos? Cmon we’re better than that
Hold the phone. Who didn’t watch the game against Colorado and come out feeling like “hey, we look back on track”?I would say that is my biggest disappointment as well. Totally agree. Everything that could go wrong has. We know frost is a good coach, it’s gonna happen.Hold the phone. Who didn’t watch the game against Colorado and come out feeling like “hey, we look back on track”?
Then we throw in a walk on QB against a good defense and then go into the den against a far superior team.
We may be 0-3 but I can tell you what I saw in the CU game was a team that reminded me of Husker teams of old. Now the team just needs a win to start feeling a reward for their efforts or yes it does get worse. But this is not zero change from last year. Martinez is the real deal as a TRUE FRESHMAN and the future is bright.

I agree, the CU game we saw a glimpse of what Neb should be. Yes I believe Frost is the guy and we are heading in the right direction. All teams face adversity , the great teams find a way to overcome and work around. Right now Neb is not at a point to do that. There is no sugar coating it, this team looks like crap. Outside of the first half against CU there has been no change from last year. It just is what it is, people just need to accept that for now and hope things get better as the year goes.Hold the phone.
