I like this for two reasons. 1. I think he could do a fine job. 2 No lions player should ever be associated with the Bears.
I don't like the bonus for recruiting because it could lead to violations. I would rather pay him enough to get him here and then bonus all the coaches for good performance at the end of the year.
In the times of NIL, it is going to be pretty damn hard to get violations anymore. Pretty damn easy to cover **** up.
Ed and Danny Manning are indicating this smells of wrong doing to hire someone just because they have a relative who is a big name recruit.

No idea, but recruiting was way different back then and we still had the semblance of a pipeline, so he probably was not highly regarded enough for our standards.
