This is insanity. The man went 38-1 two years ago, has won a title and has four final fours.
Laid bare, if this one and done continues here, we will not have a team when he does leave. Suppose, for whatever reason, he goes after this season or next - all the one and done guys will be gone too, we're left with about 5 guys on the team so the next coach has to recruit enough to fill the roster but not enough so he can't balance it out in the following years. That is my main concern when Cal does eventually move on. IMO.
It did in 2014 and 2015, got us a final four banner and a runner-up banner.
But in 2012, we don't win it without Jones and Lamb and Miller being there.
He has 1 ring.. and that's because of the greatest player EVER in ncaa history in AD...save me the **** of he can coach....if you get out coached by Wisconsin and our guys from that team are in the nba all star game says all I need to know...

Awww cmon guys. It's all about getting the most players in the NBA first round. It's not about winning games or SEC championships or Final Fours. Cal has been the MOST successful coach we've had since Rupp.

Cal doesn't own the market on OADs anymore. UCLA, Washington, KU (one or two), NC State , AZ and Duke have made inroads over the past few years along with teams like Florida State. UK plays in the SEC which is a crappy basketball conference most years.

There's no coach I'd rather have than Cal, but he definitely has his weaknesses. I don't think his teams are always very disciplined. In fact, it's obvious they are not. Still, he's been very successful here and at his previous stops. I don't think we're going to win another title if we can't keep a couple of our key players past their freshman year. Completely relying on freshmen every year isn't going to cut it, especially if they're like this years' batch and clearly don't value winning at the college level.
I spend over 8,000 a year on UK basketball so don't tell me what I don't know...so what I do know is this....we are Uk....not the nbdl..we are a school built on winners not loosers....I from the beginning love John Calipari but at this point I do not believe his style is what we need..I don't know who to hire but I do know that this is not UK basketball. When you have guys laughing on the bench and laughing to to the locker room after getting your *** kicked is not a good sign....it's a sign of weakness lead by their coach
Uh, Miller really helped that team gel and win the championship. Telling me to GTFOH is not true at all. That team is good like later years were, but doubtful to win without the experience and heart that he brought.

If it's underachieving then you must be disappointed a lot. The NCAA started national titles in 1939 and we've only won eight and that's the second most of anyone.
