Rex has apologized repeatedly for what he said. Him and the Calipari family appears to be really close so they forgave him which means us fans should let this go.

ARK has had good players since '96 Johnson/Portis/Beverley/Gafford...just always seem to be mediocre away from home.

Could very well be his players already know, and he's using the "win it all before I leave" narrative. Could still be a distraction as it would be an extra layer of pressure on the kids to win for him. Could also piss off a few and they mail it in as a "screw you for leaving us" payback. How often does Cal come out bashing an individual in public? He usually takes the high road. Just like he doesn't use negative recruiting when it could be beneficial for us. I'd bet behind closed doors he was pissed about what Rex did but again he took the high road in the public's eye.

Rex can still EAD. Honestly, it doesn't matter if the players knew or not. It was an absolute dick move to pull on the FANS as much as the players and coach. Rex has always been a primadonna prick who badmouthed UK and its fans throughout his NBA career and only came back to Kentucky when he had nowhere else to go (drug addict/thieving etc. out west).
