Look I was only using that issue to point to the fact that now my kids are paying attention to what's being reported. My eyes have been opened for a long time with terroism. Espescially due to my job. But when your kids start to see it and ask questions it changes your outlook tremendously. That's all.
Ethics are more important than a job. It's a shame Spicer, Conway, Priebus, et al lack the moral compass to see it.

This is getting scary. Why would a president kick the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the DNA from the national security council? Makes no sense to me. His possible motives in this are really troubling.
Actually it's not. And the POTUS isn't a CEO. She's wasn't some board member or some VP of a Fortune 500. She was the acting Attorney General who was doing her job. Yes, she was a holdover and don't know her politics but let's not pretend that only democrats have issues with this executive order. Our entire government is based on a checks and balances premise. It's very design is to prevent on branch or person from becoming too powerful. A good leader should welcome people who challenge his/her ideas, especially within a government. There are terms for people in power who have absolute say so and don't allow desent. We call them dictators.

He's using a legal authority granted by Congress against a list of countries identified by Obama's DHS. Seems like both were involved.
I'd perefer a Prez who vets these actions, but who is he going to vet them through? The same deep state progressives in the bureaucracy who are likely to leak this to their friends, family, and lovers in the media? Given that option, I can understand why any Republican would choose to bypass. Given the insane reaction to this order I'd say Trump chose correctly on this occasion.
If progressives want Trump to trust them with vetting things, start acting trustworthy.

How do you think Nazi Germany started? It wasn't full on genocide from day 1. First it was wearing the star of David so you could be identified. Seems trivial so people mostly shrug it off. Then it was Jews can't own businesses. Then they couldn't shop or enter buildings. Then it was, "Well, let's just move them into ghettos. Then it was camps." Then, well, you know how the story ends. And all the while the German people stood by and watched, some even cheered. Let's remember that the Nazi Party did not win a majority of the 1932 election but a plurality (37%). Once in power Hitler basically killed off anyone who was his "enemy". Most Germans were not Nazis but because of fear of noncompliance many kept their eyes closed and their mouths shut. So, our GI's show up 12 years later and of course can't believe what they are seeing. And what do they ask the German people? " How did it come to this? How can you just stand there and let this happen?" In truth many didn't know. It has all started so small.

Read about the Standford Prison Experiment and see what happens. Start assuming guilt and see how that works out. You have a 4 year old. If you assume she has done something wrong and she hasn't, what happens? Does she blow it off or is she upset? Do people take that type of thing quietly or do they revolt... because in truth 99% of the people coming from these places are innocent. Start making them feel guilty and less than human and see what happens. Start assuming they are guilty by some loose association. "Well they are from the same country so..." " I went to Clemson and Ben Tillman founded Clemson so...? How freaking sad is that? It always starts small.

@ClemsonGuy99 no offense was taken. I know you weren't attacking me. People very passionate about this as they should be. It's what makes this country great. The ability to have differing opinions and then coming together to make this country strong. You fought for it and I thank you for that Service. I surely hope that your fears don't come true. When I hear two different attacks in this countries recent history including the Boston Marathon Bombers were due to failures in our Refugee vetting program I become extremely skeptical of what we're doing. When I hear reports that the previous administration in it's final weeks began to approve all refugee applications as quickly as possible without much vetting to try and get as many in as possible before Trump took office disturbs me. How many were actually vetted properly?
I'm not sure what extreme vetting means. To know that would mean we would have to know to what extent we vetted refugees before the order. I think we both want what's best for this country and our kids and I respect that tremendously.
Trust me @tigertownorange, I am always skeptical of what our government is doing. You learn a lot when you work for them. Honestly, I don't think it will go that far but I bet there were a bunch of Germans in the 1930s and 40s who thought they wouldn't go that far either. I do think the process of allowing people in our country needs attention. My fear is that it will be taken too far.
Well, I actually don't see a problem with this at all. The acting AG is charged with upholding the law, not obeying the President. But she works for the President. I can't imagine that she didn't know what was about to happen. She followed her morals and damn the consequences! Kudos! The country needs more people like her.
That being said, she's a presidential appointee and serves at the will of the President. If she wouldn't uphold my executive order, I'd have fired her too. No questions asked. In this case the US is working as intended.
I'm hoping that Trump succeeds, but the 1st two weeks don't encourage me much. He got the price of the F-35 program slashed. Big plus. Busting Iran's balls over that missile launch. Big plus. I actually like his supreme court nomination. Plus. Those are good things.
Calling out another federal judge who disagrees with him? That's not good. Getting fined 5 million plus for defrauding members of the golf courses he owns? That's not good. Telling all our closest allies that Nato is crap, not great.

-Trump now has by far the worst approval rating of any president at this stage in the history of polling. That's a quantifiable fact that directly contradicts your erroneous assertion that he's no different than the "past four presidents."
-He is possibly the most insecure and sensitive person to ever hold office (of any kind). I mean, there are so many examples of his acting like a gaping ****** that I'm not even sure where to begin. In response to people making fun of his small hands, he felt the need to imply that he has a big penis because he apparently has the maturity of a 12 year old.
