UK was fortunate to be in the game at the end. Down 7 with less than a minute? It's remarkable Ky had a chance given the fact that Bam turned it over on one possession and Monk bricked a three on another – all in the last minute +.
Kentucky battled and ran up against a UNC team that had five 5 star juniors and seniors. Maye made a great shot. It happens. Go hug your families and be grateful that life is bigger than a basketball game. I know it hurts, but it's still a game.

But it was some officiating, right? How many points was that amount of one sided officiating worth? How many points should one team have to spot another?
All I ask for is a good game and let the best team win. I can live with a lose when a better team beats you on any given day. What I can't stomach is how the refs take that away. It's a shame they steal that from us. I've never wanted a guarantee. Just a fair opportunity.

Look, if Hawkins doesn't miss a 1-1 and we score those 2 it is in OT. If Briscoe hits one of the FTs he missed, Monk with that bad TO with less than 2 to go and on and on. The fact of the matter is UK did enough to lose the game on its own.
I don't know about all that. I'm hurt by that Laettner shot to this very day.
