People who still think last year's record is still the biggest deal in recruiting, which it never was, even in a world where you just literally pay the players are just not getting it.
Does this win guarantee Braun comes back?

Exactly. Braun recruited 5 starters this year, 4 on offense and a CB. High school recruiting is a complete crap-shoot. You better be able to reload in the portal first and foremost and this year Braun did OK.
Our HS recruiting needs to get better since those guys are consuming roster spots, but frankly despite our protestations that we're a developmental program we look like we're heavily a transfer oriented program at the moment... and that's fine.
It didn’t after 8-5 season. Correct. But he wasn’t the coach full time until the end of the season. Too late to recruit more.
