I saw that a few minutes ago when doing a twitter search of his name to see if an announcement had been made yet and wondered if maybe he told them something that we don't know. It certainly wouldn't make sense to caption it like that with conventional wisdom being that he will remain in the draft since he performed really well in the combine and in workouts, but it's probably just an innocent statement with no inside info to it.

I'm not counting on it, but it sure would be nice to have him back and selfishly as a UK fan I'm hoping beyond all reasonable hope that it happens.

Probably not. That said, I support the young man either way at this point. I’d obviously love to see him back in Lexington, though. Green, Diallo, Knox, and Washington would give UK enough scoring to win the whole thing, and Richards on the glass gives Calipari a big reminiscent of his Memphis days to clog the lane and rough up opposing 5s.

A damn-near perfect lineup.

Just ran across this picture on instagram. Check out the caption on the right about Diallo playing at Kentucky next year. Mean anything?

That pic is from Diallo in High School. He will be a Soph. if he returns.

No, it's not an old picture and Diallo would only be a Freshmen when he returned since he only went to school half a semester.

Not necessarily. If you graduate high school with lets say 15 hours of college credit, at half a year you would be deemed a sophomore since it's 30 hrs per year.

He's used a year of eligibility which would make him a soph. Plus look at the pic. It's from High School. lol

You honestly think Diallo came to UK with college credit? Highly doubt the bro was duel enrolling lol

Think maybe we are splitting hairs here? The picture and caption were completed TODAY.

Im just explaining the education part of it. Who knows, he might have just graduated high school because he had enough of hs credits but didnt have college credit to consider himself a sophomore after just half a year. It can go either way

I'm not saying he's going to return because I don't think he will, but that pic was posted on that account today just a few hours ago. A Nets reporter (not a great sign for UK) tweeted out the link to the instagram pic and said he was there in Long Island City today, and UK could technically apply for a redshirt for him if they wanted to since he did not play a single second for us last season (though I don't think they will since he's one-and-done if not none-and-done, and probably will be listed as a sophomore next season).

It's from a high school gym because he was apparently there watching some guys play today.

I have no clue but wish he would announce and put us out of our misery at waiting, lol.

Yeah, I don't get what they're waiting on at this point. If the Nets gave him a guarantee like some are speculating they did and he's down with it, then just announce he's gone. No offense but we don't exactly need a special grand farewell press conference announcement from someone we never saw play, if that's what they're saving it for.

But if it's a special grand "I'm returning, bitches" press conference announcement, on the other hand... [banana]

They're waiting on a fresh news cycle.

No but dual credit isn't that hard anymore.

Yeah no doubt. I had a full semester's worth when I started my freshmen year of college. Just saying the guys we recruit aren't looking to get a head start on college curriculum ha

He would count as a Freshman as far as eligiblity is concerned. He has four years of eligiblility.

Same scenario as Wynyard last season. He was considered a Freshman.

From the time you enter college, you have 5 years to play 4, without applying for redshirts. He has not started his eligibility until he plays in the first game. Therefore if he returns next year, he will be a freshman.
