It is OLine play
Last year Texas gets slightly above average OLine play they win 10 games.
If their OLine play gets better in 2019 they could challenge Oklahoma because their OLine lost 4 starters and will take time to put together.

The families of the players at Texas are involved more than they have been for awhile because Herman wants to grow the players not into just football players but students and men.
He is very big on character and players that fit the culture.
Charlie Strong recruited a lot more questionable players than Herman ever did.
Plus he uses the older players to lead the younger.
Might get a bad seed that talks the talk but since recruiting is a 2-3 year process that is difficult.

The kid has aged 4-5 years maturity wise since he has been in Austin for two months.
