Seems that way. Every time we play them in a game that we REALLY need, he beats us. I STILL haven't gotten over the 2019 Elite 8 game we lost to Auburn with their best player hurt. Why can't Cal beat Pearl with one of our best players hurt?

When you lose a ff berth and a game like this we needed to win yeah pearl owns cal.
I ask that in the game thread what the head to head was about never got a response. I’m pretty sure that Pearl has a winning record vs. Cal now.
Cal is an average at best coach, being generous, he’s a great recruiter and overall BSer, sheer coaching, BP is substantially better, IMO.
Pearl is 6-5 against UK over the last eleven while coaching AUBURN. This needs to stop.
Don’t forget how much cal makes to be owned
It's life under the big top, a circus when Kentucky comes to town, odd things happen, fans crawl out from under rocks and their players will give their two front teeth to beat Kentucky. Then when the game begins the freaky things always start to happen, players going down and Auburn players you have never heard of become hero's making shots from everywhere. What is a foul on one end is not on the other and the announcers join in on the fun, some crazy sh** happens every time we play down there.
YES!!! But for some reason Cal has difficulty making him pay, even though we recruit better and have ALL of the advantages of being the #1 program in the country.

Yes they should have. But that still doesn't explain why Cal seems to struggle against him when it counts.
The thing that REALLY pisses me off is that the SEC made the schedule that allows Auburn to play UK at home but NOT at UK. On top of that, they get to play an EASIER schedule than we do. WHY?????

Just add Auburn to Duke, Kansas and UNC.

Which was the whole premise of my OP. Cal has ALL of the advantages over Pearl, yet can't seem to dominate him like he SHOULD. It is EXTREMELY frustrating as a UK fan. For the past few seasons, Pearl has won WAAAYYY too many big games when we hook up.

I like you as a poster and don’t want to start an argument but , you realize that UK fans are the only people in the country that believe that, right?
I know we’ve beaten UT two in a row dating back to last year but Barnes still has won the head to head the last several years too.
Bruce Pearl is a much better basketball coach than John Calipari. It’s not even close.
