Spoke with someone close to Klieman. When I asked if Klieman was the next husker coach, his comment was that he has more to prove at this level, but then watch out. he said his players love him. Personally, I am disappointed in those comments as I love his style of play.

He’s getting paid good money and has K-State playing very solid, no reason to leave for now.

I live in KS, no KSU fan, admire them but don't love them. That said, if I were him I would stay at KSU as well. Good pay, he is very happy, great relationship with the AD, fans love him here, and dare I say, right now he has about as much of a chance to win something at KSU as he would at NU right now. I know I will get blasted for that but oh well, just my opinion.

More to prove at what level? This appears to be an opinion not someone relaying information.

That is Klieman’s opinion, so you are correct… it is someone’s opinion. Maybe the offers are reflecting that, or maybe he wants to prove more at Kansas State, not sure. The source is not quite a brother, but not far from it. take it however you want.

Another secret lover? Is the AD aware? He is a devout Catholic you know.

I think he’s the best candidate, so if this is true, I’m disappointed.

There’s a lot of other dudes that could do this job better than the last two jokers though.

I’d like this guy or Fickell. Hell, I’ll cheer on whomever. Kind of feeling like it’s Fickell

I’m not sure why anyone shares anything on this board with all the idiots like yourself. Congratulations on your contributions to the board. Now it is time for you to make some smart *** comment… I know you can’t resist.

Poor baby, struck a nerve there, guess you can't take a bit of ribbing. But what you stated about talking to someone close to him is nothing more than you saying so, guess it really is true then. Hilarious.

So Klieman is out. Leipold is out. Rhule is out. Kiffin is out. What is Bo Pelini up to?
Rhule isn’t out. Dennis Dodd has never been right about anything. What you have is “commentators” perusing message boards and Twitter then putting stuff out to get clicks and followers. Rhule is still available

True professionals do not discuss these matters until they are finalized. Anybody who is talking to random people about a coaching search is out of the loop. What that guy is hearing is Klieman's back up plan- if he doesn't get the job, well he didn't want to leave anyway. And that's actually true of most coaches when they take a new job, they are leaving someplace that they liked and were successful at.

Very good points. But neither of us are random. Klieman is very close to my source and I have a close relationship to my source. Still, your points are very valid as one does not/should not talk until announced. I am simply stating that according to a person who has frequent conversations with Klieman, it does not appear to be happening. Could he be getting disinformation? Can things change? Sure.

I just think that most people are going to be careful saying anything to anyone who they aren't 100% sure will keep their mouth shut. And that's nothing against your friend. If Klieman plays it by the book, he'll talk about wanting to stay up to the point that he announces that he's leaving. It's just smart business.

On the opposite side, we've had guys at Nebraska who have shot their mouth off about getting a new job. And then the job falls through and they are stuck at Nebraska.
