OSU will destroy us inside Saturday. UL will lock us down and that isn't hard too do since we stand around and don't run many sets. I'd say unless one of our guys gets really HOT we won't win either game. Just watched last nights game and this Team isn't good and doesn't make anyone better around them. They can't hit open shots and will continue to struggle until they do. Sickening to watch this.

What teams can't hit open shots and don't struggle?

Congratulations. On a day of remarkably stiff competition, you have started the most useless, redundant, and stupid thread.

Useless? Maybe.
Redundant? For sure.
Stupid? Not a chance. Fair question. Worth the conversation. Of course, "stupid" is always in the eye of the beholder.

If you are going to be obnoxious, why add the caveat? Go full-on heel.

Ohio State is the best team we face all year, but I have a strange feeling we win that game. I don’t know why. Usually I’d be nervous, but I’m kinda at ease about it for some reason. Who knows.

Louisville will be a W. Really good team, but we own Louisville and they won’t present the same challenges that Evansville and Utah did in that UL is adamant about playing man to man, which we are good against. Won’t see much, if any, zone against UL.

This team is Jekyl and Hyde, we may see the team that beat Mich St, or the team that **** their pants against Evansville, no way of knowing which team shows up.

can we stop hanging our hats on that we beat Michigan St already? They've played like crap and frankly everyone except Maxey played like crap in that game for Kentucky as well

What I do know now is this, Ohio St will spread the floor, and we will switch on every screen till they get the matchup they want and drive to the basket at will. Then on offense, we will park two bigs close to the basket, and run a weave on the outside, then drive into a clogged lane, OR, heave up a desperation shot, to beat the clock. So predictable.

Well, NO, because we played a good, sound game. Not played like that since, but they played well that game.

Ohio State likes to feed the post and they feast on the boards. This is a game that EJ and Nick will have to contribute. Wesson is a load.

Is Doron lamb, Brandon knight, and booker coming back to play the next 2? Is cal gonna change his mind and dictate the pace of play and switch defenses/make adjustments? Are we going to run an actual offense that doesn’t involve clogging the lane and allowing EJ Montgomery shooting 20 footers? If not I vote yes

You expect EJ to play inside against a "load"? Not gonna happen. Nick will have 2 fouls within 10 minutes, not to be seen again till the second half.

No way we lose the next 2. I think we will win both. I believe our outside shot will start falling.

Our guys hadn't got used to that time change and I think that played a part last night.

Who cares. The regular season doesn't count, remember? Who cares that we are the winningest program in history. All that matters is March. [poop]

Did you just say our offense is good against man-to-man???

I searched your post for something to disagree with you on.
Nothing was found.
Your post is accurate.
I mean, I wanted to argue, but I would be wrong if I tried.

I'll just be real...we lost to a utah team that played like evansville did....That does not happen too often. Ohio State and Louisville, will have to be very consistent to beat us. And if we could just focus on layups........we'd have 100 points in 40 minutes.

I don't see how anyone could watch this team and come to the conclusion that they could beat a ranked team.
Forget the MSU game. Maxey went on a tear, something he will probably never do again in a Kentucky uniform and MSU has bigger problems than we have.
I have never seen a team at this level shoot so poorly and I've never seen a team get worse like UK does seemingly every year in November and December.
If shots are falling, that would turn this turd into a beauty queen, but my goodness, our shots were freaking cinder blocks last night.
Ohio is going to carve us up, they are an older team that runs an actual set offense, not some streetball ****. They have size and experience. We might get dropped on our head in this one.
F- coaching job by Cal so far. There is no reason we should be this bad. Not with the resources and facilities we have.

No no no. All that matters is June. One day the Koolaid will finally pass from your intestines to your brain and you will learn the way of Cal.

Weird..we had a game at Rupp in Lexington timezone, and the visiting team was from a different timezone, yet the exact same result happened - LOSS.

In fact, the Evansville and Utah games were so similar that I couldn't tell much of a difference. If anything, Evansville looked better than Utah in their win. But our loss wasn't due to timezone and travel - it was the same old crap with young kids - they don't know (or care) how to get up for a game against anyone. They just get up for the lights and cameras and scouts.

We need skilled big guys on the inside. Guys that are 6’9-6-10 about 240 that know their way around the basket. Cal needs 3-4 more interior players for next year. He needs to figure why his recruiting of centers now sucks and change it or we will never win another title.
